Description
Well, this is my first tutorial I've ever really attempted, so hopefully it's decent. ^//^'This is just my general method that I currently use for feral and anthro characters. It'll probably be a while yet before I try doing any tutorials on humans or human-like characters (elves, for example). I still have a lot to learn about drawing humans, especially in terms of coloring-shading (I can never get the skin to look right).
So, I use a drawing tablet (I can't remember what it's called, which is a shame because it has worked so well and used only one battery since the time I got it over a year ago) and the program GIMP 2.8, which is free last time I checked.
I usually stick to the same settings. For sketches I use the airbrush tool with the flow set to 50. When detailing the eyes like I showed at the end it varies from 10 to 20 usually. For very fine shading touch-ups and such it's usually around 2 to 5.
My blur tool's rate is always set to 100. I use it to soften the texture created by the smudge tool when I shade fur.
Those are just a few basic notes.
Perhaps if you liked this you'd be so kind as to drop a comment below stating what you think of this and if you'd like to see more tutorials? And if you would, then perhaps what you would like to see a tutorial on? Hair, fur, paws, etc? :3
