Description Just a silly little thing I drew up (using Doda as a model). It's a very mini tutorial on how to relax a character's standing pose that I'm too lazy to make proper

). A regular, upright, stiff standing pose. Standing like this isn't very comfortable and doesn't look very interesting generally.

). The same pose, but with the legs spread apart just a bit. Already the character looks more relaxed, but the arms are still straight down and tight.

). With hands on hips and legs a little spread, the character looks more active, as if she might be talking about something important or waiting for something in a slightly energetic way. It just feels more "actiony" then a standard upright pose.

). A pose were the legs are back together, but in a conscious manner. With the head cocked and only one hand on a hip the character is very aware of herself to the point of showing off.

). An "at-ease" pose, where the legs are relaxed and the arms are behind the back. This is a pose that makes the character look more like she's listening to something or taking instruction, or perhaps waiting with patience rather then energy.

). When the arms are crossed, you usually also bring your legs together. This is a closed-in, thoughtful pose. If the legs were parted this pose would look more impatient then calm.

). Most times, people tend to rest on one leg and the other becomes slightly bent, shifting the center of gravity. With a hand on a hip this looks more conspicuous...

). When a character is feeling sad/hurt, their bodies tend to close in. The legs are apart but not by much, showing some weakness, and one arm is hidden behind the back while the other seems tightly tucked in. The posture also becomes more closed in.

That's about it Just rambles.... I talk like I know anything XD
