Commission done forAh the two lovebirds, Allytha and Vrass!
This one took me so long to do! I never realized how time consuming feathers and feathered creatures took! But it was a lot of fun and I really really enjoy doing gryphons. Ah and the blue and purples! I rarely ever use purple!

I like your work but I was wondering if you could add more contrast to the background with the lighter bird.
Maybe change the background to a grayish indigo. This is so there would not only be a contrast with the lighter bird - but also it would give a nice feel for darker one too.
Please don't think that this is criticism.

oh wow yeah um like about 5-7 hours straight! The feathers are what took most of the time. Plus line art that looks good on the actual paper, once scanned can be a totally different picture. So yeah I had to do a lot of line art fixing. :3

These feathers are what make this dual portrait so gorgeous! Waaaah. They flow in and over one another like some sort of flufftacular liquid, and tie the characters together wonderfully. Please, never cease to impress, mooncookie.

Yeah that was the first time I have ever done neck feathers like that! I didn't plan to but one night my sisters bird landed on me and I just watched him and noticed so many little details that I just could not leave out on these guys!
