I used for this pic Derwent Drawing Pencils. Β  I think dry pastels are better for landscapes.

Can you try pastel pencils? I think, they are awesome... Maybe better than color pencils... I dont know... Β

Yeah I tried ..hmm well I recommend you to use dry pastels as the results are nice.. you can check the one I tried on my gallery.

Oh I had to ask you another thing, how do you know which type of coloured paper would go along with the colours you're using in the drawing. Is black ideal for most drawings?

Hm... Black is ideal for darker drawings... But white paper is good for lighter. It depends...
For neutral colors is good the black and the white too!
