I am a hardcore Undertale fan, but when it comes to the fandom I have some strictly set boundaries concerning the universe and characters. As much as I love the fan art, there are just simply too many obscure AUs and weird ships. But then again, this is the internet.Anyways, Gaster is by far my favourite character from the game, even though he technically isn't in the game. I like the mystery surrounding him.
But I must say, settling on a look for him is ridiculously hard. The fact that that one sprite you come across is not even confirmed to be Gaster makes it all so much harder. I drew this image because I love skeletons, but I would eventually like to come up with a more original design.
Frankly I only uploaded this because I felt like uploading something. Anything.

OH goodness where do I start! Are you familiar with Undertale? I'm going to assume yes. Here's the story;
So W.D. Gaster is more or less a secret character in the game, one that one can only come across by messing around with the game's code. The effect is that five new sprites show up within the world of Undertale. Four of them are weird, grey, distorted beings, some of which reminiscent of monsters that already exist. They will tell about a brilliant scientist named W.D. Gaster, who created the core (the monster's main power source) but came to a premature end when he fell into his own creation. It is hinted at that when he fell he was completely erased from existence, all memory of him gone, and that his being was scattered across the game files. The fifth sprite you can come across is found in a grey room that you can only enter once. The sprite doesn't say anything, but appears to be surprised by you presence, and disappears... This last sprite is theorised to be Gaster, though this can't be confirmed as the sprite is only titled "Mystery Man" in the files.
There are theories that W.D. Gaster is in some way related to the skeleton brothers, Papyrus and Sans, as upon closer inspection his name appears to be a mash of two fonts; WingDings and Aster.
There are dozens of Gaster theories and head canons out there, you don't have to look far to come across them

without messing with code now. : )

Well I have played undertale but I just didn't knew about this Faster character. He's really that important?

Well, not to the game itself, not really.
But he has built up a massive fanbase just for (not) existing XD. And who doesn't love a character with a tragic backstory?
And yeah, I also only found out about him some time after discovering the game. If it weren't for all the hackers that are hellbent on finding secrets hidden in code we all probably would never have even heard out about him.

I like that you gave gave him a more skeleton look. Some artists' portrayals of him look more skeleton-like than others, but I always like the ones where he looks more...well, skeletonish.Β Most people agree he is a skeleton after all.
An additional headcanon for him I love is the idea that he wore glasses. : 3

I love your little Gaster icon; it's adorable! I do enjoy drawing skeletons, so I'll probably stick with the skeletal look, but when it comes to core-Gaster there are a few things I'm looking to try out, if ever I would only get inspired to XD.Β
