Oh boy! This isn't from my old sketchbook, as all the previous pencil drawings are.
I drew this today. These things were in my dream last night, and they were about as creepy as non-nightmare creatures can get!
They live underwater. In my dream there was this huge sunken city, and I could swim as far and as deep as I wanted without drowning. It was quite beautiful, many glowing plant and creature life down there. But these things, I don't know what they were called, were everywhere! They were fine as long as you didn't look at them. If you did, however, happen to glance at one, it would come after you. Fast. All it needed to do was touch you. It had like a death-touch. And they were bloody silent! Oddly enough death didn't bear much consequence in this dream; it was like a video game, I could just keep coming back. That's probably why this wasn't a nightmare. But I remember clearly swimming up the side of a building (to the surface, they couldn't leave the water), but when I glanced down there was one right beneath me, looking up at me like the one at the bottom of the page. I hadn't realized I was being chased until that moment.
Also that weird thing at the top left of the page. They were these strange, skin colored things that had no other senses besides touch. They didn't move much, and for some reason I knew they acted like neurons in a brain; they were in telepathic connection with each other and every other life form in the ocean. They saw everything through the eyes of other animals, and shared that information with the rest of their species, who in turn would spread it to all other living creatures. No life form in that ocean knew something that the others didn't, like one giant organism.
So yeah, this was pretty surreal, but I really enjoyed it. The ocean is actually a very common theme in my dreams.
