Description
This is for other pokemon fans who ever wondered what the pokemon world looks like. Its based upon the pokemon movie poster and other information from bulbapedia plus my own guess work. Keep in mind this is my interpretation of the pokemon world. It is a mix between the anime and game regions. Please dont tell me about where the Orange and Sevii islands are ment to be, this is the compromise I came up with to fit them both in the map using the map from pokemon handbook #2.Regions on the map:
- Orre
- Hoenn
- Area in Pokemon Trozei (North-West Johto)
- Johto
- Area in Pokemon Channel (North-West Kanto)
- Kanto
- Orange Archipelago
- Pokemon Island (South-East Kanto)
- Area in Pokemon Puzzle League (North-East Kanto)
- Fiore
- Sevii Islands
- Sinnoh
- Poketopia (South-East Sinnoh)
- Almia
NOTE: Please let me know of any spin off series i may have forgot to add. (Not including trading card game regions.)

Actually Orre would be of the United States, since it was based off Arizona.

Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh are all counterparts to Japan, while Unova is the counterpart to Manhattan.

Would need to add Unova map. Also Unova is somewhat near where India is for us.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see Faraway Island, which could be reached in Hoenn.

Actually, Faraway Island is not in Hoenn, but the only boat that can sail to it is in Hoenn. It's actually closer to the Orange Islands.

I see, but in the games it was on the corner of Hoenn's map. I haven't looked enough into it I guess. I keep thinking I want to make an online Pokemon game but I'm too afraid of being shut down because of Nintendo. Whenever I looked up the Orange Islands I never got the info I wanted, so I suppose I gave up on it too soon.

I would like to know how you long you would be travelling if you went from Trovitopolis to the Sinjoh Ruins (in the mountains north of Johto).

no offense, or anything, but the POKeMON World is based on Japan. Sinnoh is the northern island, Hokkaido, Hoenn is the southern island, Kyushu, Johto is based on south-east Shikoku and Kanto is based on south-west Honshu. Here is the most real POKeMON World Map (missing some stuff, granted) [link]

Yes, the forms of the islands are based on Japan but there isn't any nintendo/game freak/pokemon company information about their exact place. Also that map is very good but that is only a fanart not something official . Maybe we'll never know where and how are placed the regions...

One thing to keep in mind, if the regions were all interconnected, why all the boating? If it was on a sigular landmass, then they should just be taking a train or something, like Japan does. Also, Orre is based on Arizona, not a Japanese landmark, so techincally, by that logic, the Orre region shouldn't be attached to anything, just as Unova is based off of New York City.

I've seen quite alot of Pokemon maps in my time but I've never quite understood why people put Sinnoh on the same level as Kanto and Johto. There's snow on the tip of the continent. And also, if we're including the different aspects of the anime, where's the Amazon Rainforest? Isn't that, after all, where the Mew DNA was discovered? And the mountains there where Jessie's mom, Miyamoto, met her fate in a deadly avalanche while chasing after Mew for Team Rocket? But people always seem to forget that.

Almia is more than likely the peninsula on the south end of Sinnoh. It fits with the island Sinnoh is based on and it is the commonly accepted location of Almia. The Orange Islands are anime filler and don't exist in the games, so you can't really accurately place those. Using game maps, the Sevii Islands are south of Kanto, but using movie maps the Orange Islands occupy that location. However, there is a map from one of the movies that places the Orange Islands south of the Sevii Islands. Since it's the most recent that is where you should place the Orange Islands. It would be the most accurate and it's an official map. Other than that, Orre and Fiore are correct as is Hoenn and Sinnoh. The only other thing I would suggest is, if you going to add in the Orange Islands, which is anime only, then you should add in Holon which is Trading Card Game only. It's located in that large clouded place on the Kanto-Johto landmass. It's only mentioned in a couple series of the TCG, but the card game tends to follow the video games rather than the anime, so I wouldn't be shocked if there was a spin-off game based on Holon and the Delta Species Pokemon.
This is a very good map really. A lot better than others I have seen. A good thing to keep in mind though is whether you want to do an anime world map or a game world map. The anime Pokemon world is based on the game Pokemon world, but it is different in many aspects. The Orange Islands being just one of those differences. Another mistake I see people make, is they try to include the Mystery Dungeon locations on the map, even though Mystery Dungeon has it's own different planet.

Almia doesnt actually fit below Sinnoh, I tryed that. Its not where I put it eaither, it is east of sinnoh. Im making a new map to replace this one, Im almost done. Im not going to add Holon because its pokemon cards not pokemon. But I am adding some other the places in the other spin off games. Its kind of a mix between the anime and games world, I made it so I had a general idea of where everything is in the world because Im a visual person and love maps. I cant put the Orange Islands below the sevii Islands because of the map in the second pokemon hand book. But in my new map the sevii islands are higher up so they are closer to kanto.

hey, u have a few maps missing,
1. Poketopolis (i think thats how u spell it) from Pokemon Battle Revolution (Wii) (if u put it in, put Almia north east of Fiore, and put this there)
2. TCG Island from Pokemon Trading Card Game (GBC) (south of Johto, North of Orange Islands)
3. the the town where Pokemon Puzzle (N64) takes place (north of Kanto)
4&5. the places where Pokemon Stadium (N64(Kanto)) (North of Indego Plateau, Kanto side), and Pokemon Stadium 2 (N64(Johto)) (North of Indego Plateau, Johto Side) take place
6. the Pokemon Snap (N64) Island (between Kanto and Sevii Islands)
and thats about it, if u want to put them in, that is

Poketopia is going to be in the new map, i was going to put it south east of Sinnoh.
Almia will be along the same coast line as Fiore but past where Sinnoh is.
TCG Island im not putting in because its not part of the same world, same with Puzzle.
Pokemon Stadiums i will try to put in.
And i will put Pokemon Snap Island in too.
Im going to use the map from Serebii.net. I will edit and add location on that map. Ill get started today, may not be finished for a week or so.

i believe that fiore is conected to almia, and they are both closer to sinnoh (because pokemon rangers only appeared in the sinnoh anime series(i've watched most of them in japanese, and some in english, yeah, i'm a geek like that)), but other than that, its good

No but if you check on most sites about it then you will learn that the sevi islands are above the orange islands. Besides the orange islands were just filler in the anime and will never be made into a legal game due to that fact.
