Let me rest and feel no more how time passes me by. Let life slip ayaw from my chest with the blood that I seep. They say that gods must live forever, and there is no ending to this existence. But I will wait, in a dreamless, sleepless rest, until Forever is gone, and may be then my sould will find release...Three things I want you to know abou this pic:
a) Coloring an A3 sheet with color pencils is painful.
b) Glitches! Wrong perspective! Too many details - all this I know.
c) That's a something I wanted to draw for a long long time...=3
So It's Azrael, my poor little thing, lying in a bath of blood, after another ressurection. See his cothes are ripped - he's tried to kill himself, and he broke the blade, still it didn't work anyway, gods are immortal whatever they want it or not.
He'll be all right, all he needs is a huge glomp
Medium: color pencils, black pens and markers, color markers, white tempera, white gel pen.

Excellent work on the stars and night sky bit; very beautiful. The clothes and figure are gorgeous. The only thing that bothers me is that he doesn't really look like he's lying on the stones, sort of not really touching them. Other than that, great work!

Awww. That is such a tough emotion to draw, not only from the expression but the debate that goes with it. You have made him look sad which is the main thing but he also looks like he's just woken up, which I assume he has after he's been healed. The position he's in makes him look like he's not touching the floor but that adds to the magical sense of the picture and the mood, he is a god after all.
The detail of the shattered blade is wonderful as it gives you a clear indication of just how hard his body and it's will to survive is.
The clothes are the best part in many ways thanks to the detail, you've got the folds in the right places! That is always the hardest part, even more so than hands (both of them kill my pictures). But I wonder if they should have a little of the blood on them, not for gore or stuff like that but more because white soaks everything up and the blood would go everywhere. But this is still a wonderful picture with a difficult subject illustrated with beauty and care.

You're right about the blood but I thought that it would be too complecated and well make the silhouette look lost, so I separated it from the background (and blood) as far as I could.

I love the detail you put into your work. It looks like his arms are a little stiffβ¦maybe thatβs because his clothes are tight. I like the sword thatβs shattered on the ledge, but the handle looks a little crocked from the blade.... I wish I could color this well. I need to get out my prismas tonight so I can practice.

I seriously don't understand how you have the patient to do something like this on A3! .__.
But this is beautiful, and I don't think it is too much detail (But then again I love details :3 ).
