Description

The tritons are an ancient warlike race inhabiting the sea off southern Elm's coast.
They are an Amphibious race with a Serpentine body and a crustacean-esque head the males have more vivid colors with a great dorsal-like backfin and spiky protrusions while females are more neutral tones but glossy and have smoother skin and lack Dorsal fins; they are about 16 to 13 feet from head to tail and 9 to 7 when standing upright on their tail. Tritons are Oviparous with females laying 1 to 2 eggs and takes about 7 months to hatch and come to adulthood around 25 years old, with an average lifespan of 250 to 300 years.
Triton society is undoubtedly the most advanced sea-dwelling civilization, primarily centered around city-states, which are typically ruled by military elites. With few exceptions, Tritons aged between 25 too 40 are required to enlist in military service, while others are responsible for agricultural construction and maintenance. Triton society excels in metallurgy, granting them a competitive advantage over other sea civilizations. They trade their superior bronze spears, tritons, and tools for jewels, raw ore, and luxury items. The key to their metallurgical prowess lies in crafting underwater furnaces using vast vents, air wells, bellows, and ingenious air transportation systems to forges. Tritons' mastery surpasses many land-based civilizations. Many Tritons have personal ovens with airbags or tubes connected to air wells, allowing unique cooking methods like boiling or steaming. They utilize air for fermenting pots, and storing fish, and boast a rich variety of domesticated animals and plants, including sea wheat, sea rye, sea rhubarb, sea corn, sea lettuce, kelp, sea kale, sea grapes, sea cabbage, sea fleas, chicken fish, thread sea slug, Great crimson dragon slug, and the hippocampus as animals of burden.

Triton's history is long and mostly forgotten with only myths remaining. As the myths go during a Time before time a great forgotten civilization was fighting a great deluge of Chaos to help them combat it they created many Warrior races many are long forgotten but one of them was the ancestor of the tritons it is unknown how long the War lasted but when it ended the world was left in tanners their creators left this world leaving them alone in this desolate world so they went into a great sleep to wait for the world to rejuvenate and when they finally awoke the world had changed beyond recognition weird life crawled fluttered and swam about them in the ocean and odd and queer forms they struggled to adapt to the new world but were eventually able to create a kingdom the kingdom of Triton witch the race takes there name from witch was supposedly founded by triton the first which flourished for 7,500 years creating such great Marvels and technological advancement that today tritons technology look like mera toys for children compared to the technology of the mythical Kingdom as the tritons put it. most of the history and records of the kingdom of Triton are long gone because of its sudden and violent end 6,042 years before the founding era the sea where it was located was suddenly uplifted almost instantly turning the once Lush Meadows of the sea into a horrible salted desert killing about 86% of their civilization some are fortunate to be close to other cities which remained unaffected unfortunately most were farmers or Traders and many of the scholars and Priests were lost After this triton history went into a dark age for about 2,000 years before city-state started to arise.
