(ahhhh don't laugh...everyone else has such cool designs for them
)But yep, these are my earlier concepts of Manfredi and Johnson and how I envisioned them
(and still kinda do). Originally, I believe I had their designs swapped (can't remember quite exactly) but that was very short lived at the time I heard Skipper's "Manfredi is cute" comment. Darn it Skipper, now I cannot unsee what it is now. But I am okay with that 
I imagine them around Rico's height with Johnson slightly shorter.This duo goes about their own way, sticking together, causing trouble(though not always intending to xD)...Giving Skipper noogies lol. I imagine Johnson with this deeeeeep voice, very accommodating, and likes to rough-house(in a friendly way). While Manfredi is someone who is never afraid to express his opinon, a comical speaker, and can be very impatient. He likes to rough-house too...but not directed to Johnson to much. Despite his friendly/cuddly appearance, don't judge a book by it's cover xD See? He's asking you to give him your lunch money.I would do it...you don't know what's behind that left flipper of his O_o
I really would love to see these characters in the show/movie.These playful, joking, yet serious business penguins(?). Hopefully we will

They are similar to Skipper and Kowalski on that image, but here they look better than in the episode

In my opinons for them, your Johnson would be suited for Manfredi better while his suited the other as well 
I won't talk about them detailed not to get you bored, but I thought Johnson as the old leader of the team, Skipper's idol and Manfredi as Rico's best friend, creating a troublesome duo

*nods* I had created the positions of the six in a fanfiction of mine. Skipper was the youngest if you don't count Private, and Kowalski and Johnson were at the same age. Manfredi and Rico were buddies from the years back at streets, never seen seperated from each other - until Manfredi died. They had got arrested for the crimes they had done, but for one reason, they were sent to military school instead of going to jail for life. Everyone hated them, because they were rebels not soldiers, but Johnson, the star student was sent to stop them harming the school and students. Johnson was a great commando canditate, he was good with strategies, getting along with people, trusting the right people, having always correct instincts. He didn't do well in maths and science, but he could understand as much as he needed to. After a while he got friends with Rico and Manfredi, he saved Kowalski's works that has been damaged by some jerks and scolded him about not having self confidence, and made him become Kowalski we know today. Skipper was idolizing Johnson, but he was just an ordinary chick unlike today. Someday he got the courage to ask to join the team which was the best one in the school, and other four -especially Johnson- liked him and made him the fifth member, and he was trained like the future leader of the team. If you ask how did he become Skipper now, there was a time he spent seperated from the remaining three which I didn't mention in that fanfiction, and it included Denmark. Private... Well, yeah, he was the 6th member. In a mission the now graduated and became elite had in Britain (which there was still some time until Skipper did but he had secretly hid and followed them, it was forbidden the senior students to go on missions ranked above C), they got him from there and with a training, they managed to get Private in military school from grade 7 which a penguin in his age should be at. When Manfredi and Johnson died, Private was a few months away from graduating and he wasn't with them because the mission was ranked A.

I was never particularly good with imagining how the two might look myself, but it's always fun to see how different artists see the late commandos.

Why would anyone laugh?! Your designs are awesome. Haha, our Johnson's are a bit similar, but I gotta say, love the puffed out chest Darn Skipper saying Manfredi is cute, changing our perception of them!

You're very welcome! Well, Johnson was the tough one, and I have him a scar over his left eye. He sorta has a hairdo like Rico's. Manfredi was small and plump, and I gave him a cute hairdo too
