Hey everyone!!

Here is the 111th page of my "Explorer's Notebook" for the "Animal of the Month" Event at : the Pichi!!!

I finished drawing it 3 days ago, but life was hectic afterwards, so I'm uploading it only now, sorry

Pichi is also known as dwarf armadillo or Pygmy armadillo... as you can see, they really are tiny... They live in Argentina and Chili, are considered as near-threatened... They are protected, but are often hunted for meat and/or to be used in local handicraft. They are solitary and diurnal animals, make burrows with a long corridor and a single room. They hide there or lay flat on the ground to protect themselves from their natural predators, eagles, foxes and cougars. Pichis are omnivorous, like humans and bears, eat mostly insects and scorpions, sometimes fungi or lizards. Their "armor" is made of hard osteoderm plates, separated by 6 to 8 movables bands and they have big, strong claws.

About the drawing: they are so adorable, but with a very peculiar shape, and I was a bit nervous about not getting it right... but I think it's ok... the scales, I drew them one by one, and they were surprisingly relaxing to draw, kind of soothing
