I'm starting to get an idea 8D, it's okay.
This is selfish of me, but do you remember how you got those lines?

ahh I literally drew a few squiggly lines on photoshop with a 1px brush :>
they don't have to be perfect. Actually the more random the better I guess.

when she said medium soft brush she meant the brush tool with a blurry edge
also if you scroll down while on the brush tool it should say "hard -> soft"
and you can mess around with it (medium soft would be between 0 and 100...i think)

Hii! you have a wonderful tutorial :3
i have a question. when you color the skin, do you outline the skin first with a darker color and then color it in with a lighter yellow/orange?

moosmic In reply to Kawayi-Desu [2010-11-16 03:36:56 +0000 UTC]
thanks!
oh and I don't do any outlines if you mean line art??
but I do start with a darker base color and color light over ..and if I feel like it needs a darker outline over it then I go over with a little bit of dark on the edges : )

Nicely done~
So you don't do line work over the sketch? Just jump right in and color?
I've never tried that before, I think I will.
What type of brush do you use normally?

Wow. Thankyouthankyouthankyou for this, most people have tutorials for photoshop or a mix of SAI and photoshop, but not usually for just SAI. SAI is the only program I have (and I used to only have MS paint) so I'm glad someone made a tutorial for SAI.
