Sometimes just one or two details can make or break a model. I like a relatively "clean" aesthetic for Federation starships. With the E-B, the "Rocketeer" fins all over the nacelles just made me cringe.So I got rid of them.
Ok, I know that there was probably some functionality associated with the fins, but visually it just didn't work for me. I think various blueprints had them as part of the RCS system. If so, I'll go back later and steal something off a Galaxy or Ambassador model.
Meanwhile, I like this look much better.
