After watching "Prelude to Axanar" and seeing the beautiful new USS Ares ortho from the good Admiral Horton, I am a lot more open to the idea of the "innie" deflector for 2250s-60s starships than I used to be. So I pulled up the Phoenix ortho (one of the better alternate takes on a classic Connie) and started playing with it. I changed the location of the secondary hull airlock, gave her back aft torpedos (1 launcher), moved one phaser bank (dorsal foreward), and an "innie" deflector of her own (borrowed from the Ares.). This approximates how I would do a Connie for the 2260s today.*EDIT* Fixed some more lighting and color issues. I also changed the deflector dish to a better texture and updated the credits. I have 99% of the brights brought down that I intended to, so I'm calling it "good". Otherwise I'll be weeks going over her pixel by pixel...
I think it turned out well.

Not sure what you're asking. The models are 3d, I made my changes in GIMP, which is a freeware version of Paint.
