I wasn't going to be nosy and butt in and reply to you but if you 'got it' and realized a housekeeper is a wizard than you are much smarter than me because I STILL haven't thought that!!

So Luntsha’s been throwing her boyfriend under the bus this whole time. No wonder he stood her up; he didn’t want to get caught again!
There could probably be a transition between panels 8 and 9, but that’s all right.
And we we get to learn more about the setting! Something tells me it’s much darker than the little bits we’ve got from the surface. The necklaces relate to one’s future, and apparently one cannot change one’s mind later, even if one regrets it. Luntsha will now be forced to become a mere domestic servant, despite her education, even though it seems she made the decision long before she had the maturity to think much about it. But this raises the question of whether anyone would take that path without being in a similar situation. It’s the little things like this that contribute to the story tremendously.
