Description
After leaving the Ridge of Elders his world seemed different. The graying tokota felt older. In a good way. He felt wiser and more at peace. He felt stronger but more aware of the dangers around him. He was tired though. Wanting nothing more than to go home he tried hardest to do so. For how wise he felt, he now felt lost. The closer he headed towards home, the more lost he felt. A nagging feeling prodded the back of his mind. Something was yet to be finished. He had much more to do before he could go home. It's what his instinct told him at least, or maybe it was something greater.

Aippaq had a way of working it's spiritual energy. It guided Silla away from the desolate and frigid lands to a land that was familiar. As he grew closer to the mountains he thought he would feel at peace but is this is where Aippaq had guided him, there would be a challenge. He now stood in the shadows of the mountains. 'How can something look so formidable yet ethereal at the same time?' He thought to himself.

Traces of other tokotas became to appear all around him. He sniffed the air, hoping to catch a scent of the pack. What he smelled was terribly wrong. A bitter and pungent scent laced his nostrils. This was not the scent of the wild. A pressing anxiety had over come him. He knew the scent very well. It was a scent that his masters had created many times before. It was greater though, along with sickening scents of metallic and sulfur. This was not his masters' doing and it was causing death.

Silla raced along the valley, Aippaq seemingly guiding him to the others. He would have to warm them. They would need to leave. How would he convince then to leave? A pack that had been here their entire lives. A pack whose ancestors fought for this land. He now knew for certain this was Aippaq's doing. His new found wisdom and strength would be put to the test.

"You must all leave or be met with untimely death!" Silla warned. Of course the elders brushed off the stranger. The alpha's respecting their elder's wishes shook their heads in disagreement with the graying male. There would be no convincing such a stubborn and grounded pack. Silla's anxieties worsened. His old self would become angry and leave the stupid ones to parish in the flames of Aippaq himself. How could they not smell the danger. The skies were darkening with smoke in the distance. They were running out of time. He closed his eyes tightly, searching himself for an answer.

'Aippaq give me strength'

He opened is eyes, staring straight into the dark eyes of Fenrir. The dire males lips curly back showing ivory teeth. Silla did not flinch yet returned the deadly snarl. He would not back down from his task. The dire's teeth parted an a deep guttural sound pierced the silence.

"Why do you come here and demand we leave our home. Our home of our ancestors and those before them? Why should we listen to the words of some stranger? "

Silla kept his gaze with the male. If he could convince him... His lips uncurled before he spoke. " Aippaq has sent me." A single menacing ash fell slowly from above...

Awhwwhwhhwhw. Second rite done! SILLA YOU ARE SO CLOSE. I really hope you all like this one. I spent way too long trying out different shading techniques ;-;

This is prompt #5 btw. Silla is trying to convince the Desna pack to leave before the get burnt to crispy toko-kabobs.
