Description My reconstruction of this beautiful and deadly raptor. In this pose it is very fluffy, sign of its defending behavior.The tail and neck feathers are elongated, and much larger than they usually are. I also used as references Scott Hartman's skeletal drawings, and a quail for the feathers colour pattern.

He looks so pretty... and angry.    Those colors are really cool, and the leg wings adds a nice touch to his looks.   


Just out of curiosity, is there anything in particular he is defending, like a carcass, territory or a nest?

Thanks for the appreciation. Well, having only the raptor drawn, it lets space for immagination. I just imagine she's protecting her babies from an oviraptor.

Really love the color scheme of this guy. I've wanted to try out a black-and-white head + brown barred body dromaeosaur for a while, and I think you totally nailed it. Looks great.
