Description
Ok, the original line drawing was done by , and i asked him for permission to colour it.i saved the original drawing, opened it in gimp2, and proceeded to colour. the part that i'm so happy about is that i had no access to a tablet, so did it by mouse, and yet i still like the way it came out.
i did do some slight adjustments to it (the kunai are a different shape) but otherwise, it is the same.

the program is called gimp
i know it sounds weird, but it's actually free online, and i like it better than when i was using the CS4 photoshop thingy that xaldin had. it's a little easier to use, without sacrificing ability

Hmm... I've definitely heard it somewhere before. And that's kinda sad that a free online program beat out CS4 XD Isn't that like 1,000$ or something ridiculous?

lol i dunno how much (yeah it's really expensive though) but gimp is the program that i use cause an idiot can use it... where-as CS4 usually takes some sort of training XP especially for the better effects

Aw, wow! Great job coloring this, especially for doing it with a mouse! I always get frustrated when I have to color without my tablet. It's difficult when it comes to the little details.
Anyway, really good job! I love how it looks almost as if you painted it. <3

thank you! lol i've come to realize that my styles with tablet vs. mouse are very different. but i think i might like the mouse better. at least for colouring line drawings. tablet would be for more original drawing, or refining a drawing

I know what you mean. When coloring larger spaces, I find the mouse to be easier to use. But that's interesting that you find it easier for the entire picture. I cant do that, I end up going out of the lines and not getting it just right. xD
As for drawing, I just fail horribly with drawing with a tablet. So I envy you for being able to do that at all!

hehe my suggestion? zoom in. alot. then the small areas are as big as you need them to be XP
and my normal way of doing things is sketch on paper, scan it in, and handle it from there... but since my sketches are always all over the place, it's alot harder to colour with a mouse.

Yeah, I zoom in a lot too, which is always very helpful. I think my pictures would be major FAIL if I didnt do that. xD
I know what you mean! My lines usually just..end suddenly and it's hard to determine where to color something. Haha. I wish I had a scanner! I always just take pictures of my pictures..with a camera...xD (But I cant really anymore since my camera wont work for more than two minutes at a time, if even.)

lol i have no problem with hard lines, it's the fact that my sketches don't have defenition to them the way an inked line drawing does. makes it alot harder to colour

Ohh..yeah. Sometimes even inked drawings can be a bit difficult to color, though. Dx

I've had that, too! But lately I'll have just gotten a comment, and I KNOW I just got it! But it'll say "3 hours, 2 minutes ago" or something close to that.
