Description
People have been asking if Beast have been cleaning up his appearance for Belle’s sake lately, And now it’s canon. I am going to miss drawing him all scruffy. I was just getting a grip on how to do that satisfactorily. Oh well!
Belle is staying in the Bête household while her father is on business trips. He is often on business trips... or possible lost on business trips
Edit! I changed the size of the text a little so people would read it more like I had intended it to be read.
Some were just harping on Belle for being rude to Beast, when He was meant to be the one rude to Mrs Pots to begin with.
And what would Belle care about looks? Honestly people? She admits he looks nicer now but, she is Belle for crying out load. Personality all the way.

Belle isn't in art class, you must be thinking of Jane. I think Jane would enjoy drawing Beast.
I don't think Beast would enjoy Jane draiwng him, nor would he enjoy Florian, Poccahinoas, Anna, Jim, Aubrey or Quasi drawing him

Gaston would show-up, wanting in on the action, but no-one'd draw him, maybe even they'd all leave the room altogether, refusing to continue the class 'till he left...

It does sort-of parallel that point in the film, where, after the proverbial ice is broken between Belle and the Beast, the Beast start's to take care with his appearance (or, at least, his attire), doesn't it...?
In your comic book ( morloth88.deviantart.com/art/D… ), Belle identifies Adam to Rapunzel as "a disagreeable boy who's family knew [her's]", and that "[she's staying] with while [her] Dad's on a business trip"; how did their families meet, and is this the first time Belle has stayed-over at Adam's while her father's been away?

I'll miss Adam's scruffy look, but I do love his clean look too! Quick question though, that may be a bit weird. Did Adam smooth his eyebrows, or did he do a bit of manscaping? Hey, nothing wrong with some manscaping!
I feel like Meg and Kida will tease him a bit for this change, though Kida has more teasing rights. Both Adam and Meg are having romantic conflict, while it took Kida one request for tutoring to start something with Milo. And they both will know, just like Mrs. Potts did, that it was all for Belle.
And yes, Adam was rude to Mrs. Potts, but I feel it was more out of embarrassment, considering how right she was about the situation. 100% correct through all her teasing. He is all blushy. Plus a bit more chill with his broody responses.
Bless Belle for that comment, she was looking out for Mrs. Potts. Plus, Belle is more sarcastic and witty. I expected the comment. Sympathy for Adam, though. He's trying, and hitting a rough spot frequently. He seems to be getting the right idea, though.
Loved the Beast drawing in the mirror. Plus I hope this change doesn't mean Adam will get rid of his motorcycle, too.

Yes, he did smooth his eyebrows. He must have as I gave him messy ones and after the cleanup they were smooth

Just cuz he was embarrassed doesn't mean he should get a pass by someone who hears him lash out at his servant. Belle doesn't know why he is embarrassed, she has no idea she is the cause for the embarrassment.

Darn, I almost wish it was manscaping. I had this funny image in my head of him trying to do it himself and crying from having eyebrow hair getting ripped out by wax. Or just small individual "ow's" while trying to pluck them out. Oh, my headcanony brain.

Yes, I get what you're saying. I'm actually kind of glad that Belle called him out on his lashing out. I felt like it was in character. I still have some sympathy for Adam, though. It might just be because when I was younger, I loved Beauty and the Beast. I read and watched every version of it I could get my hands on. So, there's always a hardcore shipping side of me every time I see another variation of it
Phew! My prayers have been answered! I love his motorcycle. And one of my favorite moments of their's involved the motorcycle. Just... motorcycle!

This is a really interesting panel to read deep on - Whilst we are all eagerly awaiting the Belle-rejects-Gaston scene, this showing of Adam's character development so far versus his remaining faults provides a comparative contrast to what we are going to see with Gaston.
We see here that Adam has successfully reached a point of aesthetic appreciation from Belle (although I confess, I prefer the scruffy look too), but his attitude still needs work - Even though she says in DHS: Park Reading that "he doesn't have a bad personality" when he has been polite to her for the day, doesn't mean she'll accept him being mean to others and only nice to her. In the Disney movie, Belle's comment about Gaston is "He's handsome alright - And rude, and conceited... he's not for me." This is a point where we might consider Adam and Gaston equal on this score (although their styles of rudeness are different) but we know that Gaston will not improve, whereas Adam will. Possibly he'll even see Belle reject Gaston and gain some understanding from that.
Regarding the mirror drawing... Nice! Maybe he should join the art club! Is the scene supposed to reflect (forgive the pun) the movie scene of the Beast looking at Belle in the magic mirror and despairing that she'll only ever see him as a monster?
Additionally, even with him being rude to Mrs Potts (love seeing her!), his comment is fairly subdued - Quite a difference to his early scenes of screaming at Belle and going for Milo. Granted, it may be because she's his guardian and fairly close to him, but we see the Beast utterly terrify his staff when irritable in the film, and this small "Shut up!" is hardly something to warrant her to "tip toe around him like he was a nuclear bomb" (DHS : Aftermath), so this probably indicates that he's already calming down quite a bit at least.

I don't doubt the actors will be good, the scenes pretty but I have no faith that the story won't be patchy with bad segways and clunky dialogue.
If it is surprising and actually good (unlike Cinderlla and Malificent, in my opinion, I thought them bad if pretty) Do tell me and I'll see it

Will do! To be honest, part of me is iffy about it - nothing beats the original, but my disney princess wants to see it regardless, lol.
I'm surprised, I thought Maleficient was pretty good. At first I thought they were going to re-do Sleeping Beauty, but just with live actors, but I was pleased with the twist of learning more about Maleficient's character and background.
I haven't seen Cinderella - I don't particularly care for her. But my sister saw it, she thought it was good, but they made her impossibly thin, wearing a corset and the magic of CGI...
But if Beauty and the Beast is good, I will definitely spread the word! (though not too thrilled at what they've done with Lumiere and Ms. Potts)

Drawing libraries and rows of bookshelves aren't easy, what with all the perspective, but if you are planning to draw it, I'm sure you'll do wonderful. You are a great artist and sometimes its fun to try to challenge ourselves once in awhile.
…Though granted its not always easy. Drawing someone with a lot of tattoos was a new challenge for myself recently.
