STUNNED! Awesome stuff. I love!
I wonder how the creature would look and move... I reckon it`s a waterdwelling thing a mammal like whales. Soo kool!

Thank You !
After i done it,i had some special ideas about the living
creature - the way it moves and gather food etc,
Thaught about writing a "scientific" exposure upon that item.

Yes!
Skeletal...Paper!
There are other people who do this kind of thing!
Nicely done. Appealing design on top of the wonderful construct, too.

Wo other people do things like this ?Iยดm interested.
The wire construct is fairly simple, all the detailed features are done by paper mache.

Well I'd never have thought you could've captured and skinned a facehugger, but obviously you have more skillz than I can fathom.

LOL ! You overrate my skills.
Iยดm more a collector than a hunter. I found it dead on the beach of a semi-material reality level and bribed the
guardian to import it into our reality.

Wow.. I feel like adding a fake CNN story to it, printing it, and telling my mom they found it in the rainforest on this island. And then after I scare her, I can tell her its just a paper mache skeleton.
Only kidding... she's old and I dont want her to have a heart attack!

This is awesome, very creative and very realistic looking.

Yup, at first glance I thought it really was some kind of never-before-seen animal of some kind, but then I read the comment, and went, "whoah..., really? but how...?". so there you have it. you planning on making more like this one? i mean, different but same concept.. aaanyway, nice... very nice..

the fact that this is so realistic blows my mind, at first i was trying to figure out what kinda creature would have such a bone structure......then i foud out its a sculpture......that amazed me....but then even more shocking ....paper mache. omfg you rock......^__^\m/

I first imagined your work as some sort of critique of commercialism a la those iconic "Mickey Mouse" ears - haha, but it works as an alien skeleton too.

It is EXCELLENT to see an artisan craft as a DD!!! I think this piece looks a little angry, but I think that has to do with the pelvic bone up top. Hips represented anger in (I think) Greek medicine, so that would explain it. Was there any inspiration in the form? I would love to see more extraterrestrial scultures along this line, you're so talented!

Fascinating - when I saw this I was trying to think what sort of creature it came from, since you have other shells and exoskeletons in your gallery. I was a bit confused by the pelvic bones until I realized it was a sculpture.

Absolutley phenominal. THats about the best i can say. Unless I was told it was paper mache I never would have guessed. The workmanship and craft is absolultely wonderful. Really has a bone like quality to it.

ths is one of the coolest sculptures ive ever seen in my life. i didnt know paper mache could do things like that.
skeletons are so beautiful, such riduclous marvels of engineering (even when theyre not real)
i am slowly building up a collection of dead things so i can do things like this. i have already done work with a cat.
im favoriting this. i wish i could really see it, more angles would be nice

The paper mache was a very special one ,
here the recipe,as far I can remember :
Well-boiled newspaper,chopped up with a mixer,
added with wallpaper paste,sawdust,and chalk,
filled into a plastic bag and forgot it for three months.
A bit stinky, but very fine moulding stuff !

Wonderful piece! Very well done. Lovely lines. The title is appropriate, and I agree with BlueIllusion, it definitely resembles a turtle skeleton! I like how although it looks like you're looking at the spine from the back, what looks like the hips are facing towards you, and if only that is focused on, it looks like the creature would be facing you. Makes for a very interesting mental imagery of this creature in the flesh!
