It´s clay´yes.
Unfortunately both were broken on transport
to firing when the car had to make a full stop.

AGH! Too bad--i know full well what that's like, so now I take pictures before I fire anything. My "Foliate Me" blew apart during firing, but my face survived, so I am planning on incorporating it with wood into a larger piece. Now I just need woodcarving tools....

Yes,some accidents can cause surprisingly new results.

Did You ever carve in wood ?
Now I put two themes together :
If You ever go to samothraki,don´t forget Your carving knife !
It was,apart of sketchbook and pencil,the only tool I took with me,by intuition,not knowing that there are such a lot of inspiring wood pieces.

Can't wait to see them! No, I haven't carved much yet--just a sign and a staff or two, nothing sculptural, but on my property I have many fallen trees--alligator juniper, pinon pine and small cedars, so I will very soon...
