Description
The only explanation I can find to Shadow in "Shadow the Hedgehog" start using guns and swords instead of their usual powers is that the game wanted to take advantage of the dark complexion of the character and attract a more adult audience to the franchise. I really loved the game apart from that and I completed it 100%Any grammatical error, please report.

La única explicación que encuentro a que Shadow en “Shadow the Hedgehog” comience a usar pistolas y espadas en lugar de sus habituales poderes es que el juego quisiese aprovechar el cariz oscuro del personaje y atraer así a un público más adulto o violento a la franquicia. A mi me encantó el juego al margen de eso y lo completé al 100%.

It wasn't as bad as Sonic Next Gen. I personally find Shadow the Hedgehog is horribly looked down. I found it was better Sonic Heroes.
For one thing, it's nice enough to give you a ranged attack so you don't have to rely on the often dangerous homing attack (Dangerous, because you usually have to put yourself in harms way to use it.) and, it added more to Shadow's backstory. Sonic, I could never see using a weapon, but Shadow being more dark, I could.
