Even two years later, this one's still one of my favourites!I'm sure many of you know the scenario here - but it had to be specifically for the NES version of Super Mario Bros. 3, since after that, this bit of odd localisation was never seen again (although I think the GBA version has it too...)
What really sold it for me (and which cannot be seen in this pic) was the pace of the text. Her "Ha"s, due to the default text speed, came out so slowly!
And then an extremely abrupt "Bye bye!"
Certainly something deserving of our amusement, and Peach's bemusement, as shown here...

For this reason only, Super Mario Bros 3 will NEVER surpass Super Mario World as the BEST Mario game (in my humble opinion though). Great work here by the way!!

Gah. I remember kicking and screaming my way through this merciless beast of a game back in 1990, only to be rewarded with this silly joke at the end. Really? Seriously!? Luckily, the game was awesome, so it was all good anyways. But I still wanted a real ending!

I expected cake, but no, we didn't even get that. Especially since 3 is the hardest Mario game next to the Lost Levels. >(

You can get 2 whistles in the first world. That speeds things up a bit.

Eh its hard but its not as hard as the 3 worlds that come before it.
I think the easiest game most definitely is the super nintendo one though. You can beat that game in like 30 minutes.
