This is actually a deviation I uploaded about three-ish years ago, but got deleted when I posted the actual screenshots beside my human!Beast interpretations. Lesson learned, DA. Here's the revamped version.Here's the original Artist's Comments:
Working with kids lets me watch all sorts of Disney movies on a regular basis ^____^ The other day we watched Beauty and the Beast (as if you couldn't tell) and the whole time I tried to picture the beast as a person (Prince Adam? I think that's his name...). Because in the end we only see the beast's human form making lovey-dovey faces... and if he was the kind of person that had to be cursed because of his cruelty and temper, I'm sure faces like this were seen by his servants most often.
In case you couldn't tell, this was taken shot for shot from the "Beast asks Belle to dinner" scene.
Beast: But she's being so DIFFICULT!

Basically, Beast did had a point at that moment. Belle was being so DIFFICULT. The least she could have done was just give him one chance no matter how badly he acted.
However, it was all Lumiere's idea to tell the Beast to "ask" Belle to dinner since he,as well as the other servants were so desperate to become human again.

She did have a point though. The Beast imprisoned her father, and he only let her go when she took her father’s place. Very bad first impression.

Exactly. So there shouldn't be any difference between man and woman when it comes to anger and tantrum.

For one thing, in the original story the beast didn't have a full origin of how he came to be, while Disney not only came up with one, but he/they gave him a more unkind, selfish, arrogant attitude, basically to show how a man's anger can make him beastly.
As for Belle, compare to the original Beauty, she was far more independent and more interested in books(most likely fairy tales). Beauty learn to respect the beasts kindness and hospitality, while Belle talks to the beast as if she was his own mother(considering no real mother would do so, at all).
Look, I understand you don't like what I'm saying. I'm just telling what I think. And as of now I think that human or not even women(preteen, teenager and adult of all kinds) can be just as childish and arrogant, and temper mental as men, especially in "real life". The problem is, they are all,and i mean ALL OF THEM are too proud(even for being mature) to admit it. The same for men.
So basically, Belle and the Beast both have their share of immaturity.
Belle(woman)- stuck-up and child-like, the same as being childish for letting curiosity get the better of her.
Beast(man)- selfish and arrogant, not to mention bad-tempered.
Things that make men and women what they are and vise versa.

It's actually kinda sad and funny all at once. The way he acts in the movie is similar to that of a child, which was exactly what he was when he was cursed, an 11 year old child. He never got a chance to properly develop social skills, let alone find out how to get a woman to fall in love with him because he spent his teenage years locked away in a castle.

Hm, that does make him look more like a spoiled little kid. He looked so grown up in that portrait in his bedroom (that painting is always confusing). But like this, it's easier to see.

This is good! This kind of art I suck at. And give you a heads up Beast does not have name, it's not Adam or Vincent. Disney never named him when they were making the movie.
