Description
Long overdue reference sheet for Jellyfish Dragon, a creature that reoccurs often in my dreams.INFORMATION:
Name: None. Known simply as 'Jellyfish Dragon'. Only known specimen of the species.
Age: Unknown.
Gender: Unknown.
Diet: Sea vegetation (herbivore).
Habitat: Coral reefs, kelp forests (but has been known to dive to deeper environments).
Size: Roughly 6 metres in length (not including tail).
Jellyfish Dragon is known for frequenting coral reefs and kelp forests. Fish seem to be drawn to the bioluminescence on the dragon's body, which seems to be the main purpose as the fish clean the dragon's skin and rid it of pests. It does, however, make itself glow more brightly when angered or defensive. It uses its claws and teeth mainly for defense against large predators (sharks, orcas, etc). Other than that, it is a placid, curious creature. The appendages on the dragon's cheeks act like gills (similar to the gills of an axolotl).
The name 'Jellyfish Dragon' was coined when the dragon was sighted with a strange jellyfish who shared some similarities, such as an eye like the dragon, and bioluminescent ends on its tentacles. The dragon and jellyfish are almost always seen together since the first sighting.
