Description
Part of a project for school. I decided to explore my "Jellyfish Dragon" creation more, and develop his story into a picture book. Unfortunately, due to lack of time, I'm only able to produce one of the illustrations for my little book. Ah well.Anyways, the plan for the story was basically how Jellyfish Dragon is the only one of his kind left, and guards the coral reef alone. That is, until he meets his friend Jellyfish (It's meant to be a children's book, okay? It's supposed to be simple!).

I vividly remember a jellyfish that transformed into a dragon with tentacle-like appendages along its body that would glow.

I haven't had alot of fake creatures in my dreams, although just recently I had a dream with a really magnificent creature in it! it was coated with the most beautiful feathers and it had amazing wings! I should say he because my dream did define that much about him. Maybe I could try and draw him but I am really bad at drawing feathers and really really bad at drawing wings

Then I would suggest looking up some feather/wing tutorials and doing a whole bunch of sketches. This picture is definitely my favourite when I was practicing drawing wings: [link]
And as you can probably tell, i'm still not even close to mastering all the different shapes. It takes quite a bit of practice. And I say you should definitely give it a shot! c:

I only just started working on my backgrounds recently as well. They're frustrating, yes, but worth it after all the practice. xD

something crazy happened to me last night! I had a dream that was supposedly going through all the art I had drawn, but the thing is that I haven't drawn it! it was incredible art though! there were animations and backgrounds and things like that! it really inspired me, I'm actually working on one of the ones I saw right now, it has a background and I really am not doing as bad as I would expect.

Once you get the initiative to practice background, things just sorta fall into place after a while. Keep at it! And let your dreams drive you.

I really love running animations like that, I am trying to find a better computer and better programs so that I can try and make animations, I did try once a long time ago and it turned out pretty choppy because the program I have won't let me do anything smooth. but I am definitely very into art and I would like to be the best that I can be

Oh, I have CS5. But I had version 7 before and i'm pretty sure it had an animation option. It wasn't very good though in earlier versions.

There's plenty of websites that allow you to download versions free, but be careful. Make sure they're reliable sources.

Yeah, I often want more but then my time for art and my time for taking care of animals would be competing. =/ I love art alot... and on the other hand I love animals, but I'm happy as long as I have one or two animals around

I'm the exact same way, although right now I'm trying to see how a career in art would feel... and so far it seems like I might be able to have a cat... but there are alot of things I want to do so maybe I can just have a crazy life with animals and art ^_^

I've looked into salaries and such, and found that anything related to art is pretty hard to follow. So i'm thinking about studying animal science after I finish school, and sell drawings on the side as a small second income. c:

That does sound like a good idea, I want to be a movie director, an actor, a book writer, a regular artist, a dancer, a song writer/music player and I want to craft things, like jewelery, which I am already doing, and I am trying to sell it to a fashion shop.

XD yeah, I also want to raise wild animals and find ways we can work with them and be friends with them, like lions and wolves, and foxes, they are usually not appreciated because they kill our livestock, what if we could find something for them to do though, like with horses cattle and dogs, dogs help us with all kinds of things, if they were in the wild they would be just as much of a problem as these other animals, but what if we could find a job for them? I believe that every animal has a purpose that is more then just for us to look at them or for them to keep the amounts of other animals at a healthy amount... You get what I mean? or should I try to explain again?
