Description
Sketchy headshots of my band of merry men from my Pokemon Y game. C:Demetri the Delphox
Elias the Talonflame
Acuzio the Tyrantrum
Kellen the Sylveon
Sven the Heliolisk
Adonis the Dragalge
Occasionally I switch a couple of Pokemon out for Echo the Noivern or Talwar the Yveltal, but normally it's just the guys above.
Mainly picked their names because they were fancy, but Acuzio means sharp (because Tyrantrum's fangs), and Adonis is a type of poisonous flower (Dragalge is poison/dragon type). And i'm pretty sure I once read a story with a fairy in it named Kellen, hence Sylveon's name.
this is my way of procrastinating. xD

I liked a lot of pokemon from Gen 6 c: Furfrou, Pumpkaboo, Phantump, Doublade, Klefki, Carbink, Florges, Clawitzer ...
The only Mega I'd ever consider using and the only I like is Mega Mawile. They took a pokemon that had potential before and made it playable. Mawile was one of my favorite pokemon for a long while and she's such an adorable little youkai <3

But what's with some of the evolution methods? I mean, having to turn my DS upside down to get Malamar from Inkay? What? How would I have known how to evolve him if I didn't look it up? xD
Out of all the Megas, I quite liked Houndoom's. And both of Charizards, although I hate to admit it. xD
Charizard Y is better because he's not pot-bellied.

You really have to turn your DS upside down to do that? o.o
Houndoom looks pretty good too~ Although, I just wonder why they don't just go ahead and make these normal evolutions. :I

Yeah, haha. After he reaches level 30 you do.
It took me a few tries because I had no idea if you had to hold the DS upside down when it levels up in battle, before it levels up, or after the battle. After a while I just held it weirdly for about 5 battles before it finally evolved. xD
Mega Houndoom is better than regular Houndoom, and it really should have been the real evo. But I guess the new Megas are complicated just for the sake of being complicated (it's like Zekrom all over again. xD)

That's so weird. xD I like it but if they move forward with the games, I don't know how they're going to keep that a thing for Inkay.
I suppose realistically having them be regular Evos would have made them more powerful than just a temporary item but I'm not 100% sure on how that works. It adds a new strategy element to the game but I hate how it uses up the hold item slot.
Oh, btw, I got a shiny Frogadier. :'D

*Pokemon finally goes onto a main console*
*Inkay is evolving!*
*Hold console upside down*
I look forward to the future with Inkay.
Doesn't Mega evolution just boost stats? I'd rather just have the hold item, honestly.
:0
Woahhhh
Have you seen the shiny Greninja?
womg such a cool shiny

That reminds me of when I was playing "Wario Ware Moved" on the GBA and plugged it into my Gameboy Player for the Game Cube. I forgot that the game was motion-based so I literally picked up my Game Cube and tilted it around.
Something like that. Mega Evolutions can boost stats, give new abilities and even change type. So as an example, Gengar that normally has Levitate, loses it when Mega Evolving but gains Shadow Tag as well as increased Special Attack and Speed but further lowering it's Def and Special Def.
I know! I'm going to breed it and hope for more shinies o3o I want a black Greninja for my team. >w<

Haha, I can just imagine how strange you would look. xD
... But did it work? xD
Hmm, meh. I'd rather have the hold item still, haha. Furthering Gengar's defense stats which already aren't the best wouldn't help it survive a super-effective move, that's for sure.
I can't be bothered breeding for shinies. xD
All that cycling around is just... gah. And you get people who freak out because they got a shiny after "only 90 eggs". I rip my hair out waiting for 1 egg to hatch, let alone waiting for hundreds. xD

It did work. xD I didn't play it for long though. I just put it back in my Gameboy and played it like normal.
It actually takes away from his Defense stats and buffs his special attack. It makes him really fast, really powerful and your opponent can't switch out due to Shadow Tag. But he can't take a hit to save his life. :I
I'm going to take a shot at it simply because I want a black Greninja for my team. xD I've already bred perfect Eevees now and It only took me over 20 hours c':

Hilarious. xD
Then it would suck if he was against a ground type with the sturdy ability. >u>
I just... the frustration of waiting and waiting. I don't have the patience for these sorts of things. xD
I'll reply tomorrow! Gotta get some sleep~

He can get one-shot by any ground move, yes. xD Which if you don't have something that can survive, he can be a real threat.
I just have nothing better to do with my spare time so I run around in circles and hatch eggs. :I
Okay! Night Ni' Kei

I'm actually running Gengar on my team now that I have one. >u>
I also have a perfect Mawile with Fire Fang and Ice Fang My little Youkai is possibly my favorite pokemon next to Jolteon~
Hatching eggs is strangely rewarding. Other than running back and forth, it probably takes me no more than 10 minutes to hatch a batch of four eggs. I use the center of Lumiose City and hop on my bike while holding down left or right for five minutes. Since it's a perfect circle, you can go one direction without having to go back and forth on a path. So I just hold down the right button on my D-Pad and watch TV for like 5 minutes and I have all my eggs hatched. Not to mention, there's a "IV Checker" in Kiolude City's Pokemon Center where if you talk to him, he'll check the IVs of your pokemon. If you're breeding for perfect pokemon using the Destiny Knot/Everstone Method, he'll essentially say:
"This pokemon has above average/superior/outstanding stats" and will list off which ones are at their best.
If he says "Stats like this ... they simply cannot be beat!" That means you have the stats that he listed at perfect.
Breeding perfect pokemon doesn't take too long since X and Y made it easier. I essentially reached a perfect pokemon within a matter of 5 hours but that's including a Hidden Ability.

My favourite two have got to be Flygon then Mienshao. ;u;
I tried breeding for a shiny Trapinch earlier.
I gave up after 1 box full. lD
Normally I don't give up before it's done but stories of how people have needed to hatch 500+ eggs really puts me off, even with that "Masuda Method". xD
I don't really need perfect Pokemon, since I don't battle competitively. Maybe when I find some more TMs i'll give it a try. :'D

As long as you have a foreign pokemon, your chances are 1/1065 or something like that. I'm going to try and breed some shinies but I'm not going to spend all my time doing it mostly because breeding a shiny perfect pokemon is going to take forever.
Even if you don't breed perfect pokemon, you can still do rather decently at battling. I had a passerby challenge me earlier this morning and all I had was my playthrough team of 5 pokemon. I still swept his team with Florges though. Pokemon is more of predicting your opponent and using the right moves than anything else; stats simply help you deal more damage and survive hits.

I bred my Trapinch with a foreign Ditto to up the odds, but still... so frustrating seeing those normal Trapinch hatch out. Dl
Florges is a pretty good Pokemon. My brother had it through his playthrough team, too, and whenever we battled it destroy quite a few in my team. I think I only won twice before we reached the 3rd gym, but my Pokemon all evolved a bit earlier than his... and that was the only reason they were stronger. xD

MrRowboat In reply to Mousewren [2013-11-11 14:08:55 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I imagine I won't spend too long trying to get a shiny. I already have my team ready to go, I just need to train them.
Florges is surprisingly good. She has a great amount of Sp.Atk and Sp.Def and really the only way to take her down is by using a super effective or buffed physical attack. I usually just use Calm Mind a few times while wishing to restore my health and then let loose with Moonblast. c:
I'm probably going to do some doodles today, on another note. >w> Thinking about just sketching up a Jolteon with those spiffy specs

I am just... so impatient.
With everything. xD
Yeah, he used the same method, I think. And I didn't have any status moves to combat it. It was the same with his Aegislash, too, since he just used Swords Dance while it was in it's shield forme. >n>
I look forward to seeing it. >u>

MrRowboat In reply to Mousewren [2013-11-11 16:32:28 +0000 UTC]
Aegislash is really good for that but I've learned that Aegislash either loses to being burned or getting hit with any type of earth move like earthquake or earth power. Other than that, he's amazing c:

Earthquake is so useful for fighting off Aegislash and M-Gengar xD I like how the types are being switched around to what's good.
Thanks >w< I know it was a little doodle but it felt nice to be decent at drawing canines c:

Aegislash is supposed to be super slow xD But when he's facing a pokemon like Tyrantrum, there's not much he can do other than switch or take the hit.
I was going to use Aegislash but I have other pokemon I'd sooner use like my Mawile c:

Mousewren In reply to MrRowboat [2013-11-12 05:14:59 +0000 UTC]
Pretty much, haha.
Mawile would definitely be faster. And I normally go for faster Pokemon, you know, other than Tyrantrum and even Sylveon a little. xD

MrRowboat In reply to Mousewren [2013-11-12 05:26:37 +0000 UTC]
Earlier today I started a match with my Mawile and knocked out two of my opponent's pokemon and brought the 3rd down to 20% health. The rest of the match was easy after that. Mawile is really good~
I hear Sylveon is good but I've never seen it in action

Mousewren In reply to MrRowboat [2013-11-12 05:34:14 +0000 UTC]
Haha, awesome! Do you use mega Mawile at all?
Sylveon's really good. It's good decent defenses and sp attack, so it's effectively like my go to Pokemon if I need something to last a long time. xD
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
MrRowboat In reply to Mousewren [2013-11-12 05:41:01 +0000 UTC]
Yep! That's how I did it. I really like Mega Mawile, she can deal a lot of damage and is a good substitute in for Dragons.
So I hear. I'm just not used to Eevolutions being able to take a hit xD I mostly use Jolteon and Espeon on my team but they don't hardly take damage. Espeon is just there to bounce back field hazards and set up dual screens.

And since it's steel type it can go against the fairies. xD
Umbreon was good in both defenses, but it was just soooo not powerful. It would take forever to KO something (talking from experience with Pokemon Colosseum. xD)
But yeah, Sylveon's proved to be a really useful team member. One of my most used Pokemon, actually. c:

I used to use Umbreon competitively. I would boost his Defense HP and Special Defense and set him up with Swagger, Foul Play, Toxic, Protect. He was very useful for that and could take a lot of hits. c:

Mousewren In reply to MrRowboat [2013-11-12 13:29:48 +0000 UTC]
Oh yea, forgot you could use Umbreon to set up like that. I guess it actually is pretty useful... just not so much when I was playing Colosseum. Still got it to level 90 somehow, though. xD
And in PokemonD I evolved my Eevee into an Jolteon. c:
