"Enchantment practicises have been a staple of the academy since its founding centuries ago. The methods of enchanting an item varies amongst mages, but the purpose is most often the same : to trigger a magical change within the object so it can be use to channel arcane energies through its structure.

The type of infusion can be rather simple or surprisingly complex, depending on the effect you aim for. For instance, you can easily make it so a sword be burning to the touch or a spear to freeze which or whomever it strikes, or you can enchant an axe so it always comes back to you when you throw it away.
These practicises may be applied to weapons, armors, simple clothing or jewelry, and even to insignificant baubles and can vary greatly in effect or power.

Not anyone can enchant items, for it is very taxing on the mind and body when executed poorly."
