Pokabu, the fire type starter for Pokemon Black/White. I really don't like these starters, but I'm hoping that by drawing one of them they'll grow on me.
I tried to make him look a little different.
The grass type one is by far the best looking, but I've gone with the fire-type every single time previously, so I'm gonna continue that trend.
And here's hoping for some kind of epic, hardcore, badass evolution line. Please.

You made it look so cool and feirce. Personally Im not too excited about the next generation of pokemon because most of them look like monsters little kids would draw. I hope the evolutions look stronger and a little bit less childish. But you suceeded in making Pokabu look like and epicly strong pig nice job

I'm pretty excited for the gameplay, it looks like a big step up. But the designs of the pokemon might start to lose their touch. I mean they are in the 500's now

Yes, but you meet them after 3 gym or more.. when all your team is lvl30 and the wild fire pokΓ©mon is lvl14 xD

I agree, I am not too fond of them either and I was disappointed in the fire started, but this really makes me like it

Hopefully the evolutions and the rest of the pokemon are cooler. Starters don't matter toooo much

Pokabu was the one that struck me as the cutest of the new starters, but I fear what its evolutions will look like. =/

I've been Playing the game since it came out in 1995 and i can honestly say that compared to the other starters they've made these aren't nearly as good as the others. And i realize they are what I've got, and the fact that i don't like the starters doesn't mean I no longer like the game... Heck if i did that I would never have played Diamond and pearl.
I'm just saying that Eventually the creators are going to run out of ideas. I don't blame them either it's got to be hard to make those designs. and if you read around a lot of people besides me are a bit unhappy with the design of the new starters.
Now had you read the rest of the conversation i was having you would have seen that i was obviously stating that I was hoping that the starters where not any indication of the design of the new Pokemon, Because once again I THINK(notice i didn't say They are or The fact is) they aren't that good this time around. And no where did i say that My opinion is fact, I realize that some people like these Pokemon. I'm just not going to be a pansy and say "oh in my humble opinion i think that these Pokemon aren't as good as the other's...oh but don't get me wrong they're good"(because that just dilutes my position and i look like one of those people who tries to please everyone) no i'm going to say exactly what i think and quite frankly I find the starters not quite up to par. Now if you can't deal with the fact that some people are going to be blunt with their opinions I'm sorry.

Alot of people like the new designs. Do you think you want people to hear about your crying, no. We don't care if it is do not think these new starter's are on par with other pokemon. Get over it. Box the damn starter as soon as you get the chance. Nowhere in your conversation did you even hint that it is in your opinion. A little IMO would have sufficed cause you led in the different direction which lead to this conversation. They still got a plethora more ideas to try before the dry out their cash cow, so don't count on it soon. And saying that does not demean you any way, it actually makes your point of view instead of everyone point of view when you just make a blatant comment like that.
And to point out something else, the first Pokemon games came out in 1996 and following years. Keep your facts staight dumbass.

Oh and BTW: If you look at the pokemon Copyright It's 1995-2010 so um yeah, the game wasn't released at the same time all over the world so If you live in another country then me it'd probably why you'd say it was 1996. A honest mistake.

The first games was released February 27, 1996 in Japan, who gets the game first. Then in America in 1998.

From that aspect you could be right. But I never end up using the starters for very long, so hopefully the gameplay/other pokemon/storyline makes up for them.
