When investigating the behavior of Crustles after being defeated and exiled from their territory, a scientist spectated an unusual situation.

One particular Crustle went to the beach for unknown reasons, there it was an evolved Shellder who apparently fell of it's Slowbro and now was abandoned at the beach. Neither the Crustle nor the scientist paid much attention to it, until in what seemed to be a desperate action the Shellder leaped over the Crustle and bite him like it would do with a Slowbro. The shocked pokemon tried at first to knock the other down, but that only caused the pokemon to bite harder, refusing to let go.

Due to personal situations, the scientist had to leave the investigation, but when she came back, something incredible had happened. Most of the territories, if not all of them, had been claimed by a single Crustle and to her astonishing it was the one bitten by the Shellder! It seems that the two of them, not only had learned how to live with each other, but this new armor allowed the Curstle to challenge rivals and won battles for territory. Both pokemon seemed to be affected by the influence of the other, with the Shellder now much bigger and tough, somewhat resembling a King's rock for some reason and the Crustle now was capable of performing moves that no other of its species could learn.

A discussion is now made over this specimens, whether to consider this a new evolution or just some kind of alternative form.

Maybe not as cool as the Paras's one, but I still like it. :3
And it's pretty fitting considering in what animal this pokemon is based in :3
