In normal circumstances when a Paras evolves, the tochukaso mushroom on it's back, take control of it's body and, as many trainers said, turns them into zombies. This led many trainers to prevent their Paras to evolve, however, an astonishing discovery was recently found, one that may be an alternative for all Paras trainers who want to evolve them.

A trainer who raised an Paras and a Foongus said that these two shared a bond so strong that the Foongus always were on the Paras's back, at first nothing seemed out of the ordinary until said trainer noticed that the Foongus body fusioned with the Paras's' back, and the tochukaso dying. The trainer took his pokemon to the Pokemon Center, where the two were kept under observation, but even in this unusual situation neither the Paras or Foongus seemed to be affected in a negative way. Finally one day, and for the astonishment of the trainer, both pokemons started to evolve and the result was a Parasect still in full control of his body fused with a physically altered Amoonguss, possibly because of the Parasect influence.

Pokemon scientist believe that this new "evolution" is similar to evolve Slowpoke to Slowbro or Mantyke to Mantine, where the influence of other species of pokemon (Shellder and Remoraid respectively), is necessary to evolve these pokemon. More research on this situation is on the road, meanwhile the trainer of these pokemon waits for the Pokemon judges to allow this new kind of pokemon to participate in official pokemon battles.
