Description
24" x 48" oil on canvas
High up above, next to a trickling ravine, an ancient oak tree pushes its twisted branches short of the tree canopy. The oak rots out from the inside, spilling its wooden core, turning into top soil. The forest floor sprawls with a network of wild sassafras. The next generation of trees push forward through time.
