THIS CHARACTER CHART IS NOW COMPLETE (originally posted bit by bit)

This is just a character chart is about an idea I had called Bells and Pockets which, like my Crosspoints idea, draws from H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos with some personal spins on said Mythos by yours truly since I am NOT an Aryan-supremacist with a twisted view of women like Lovecraft was.

Anyway, the setting is pretty much in a ravaged world 13 years after the Great Old Ones return. Here and there, humanity somehow managed to eke out a living amongst the Cosmic Horrors going about the planet, not really caring if the crush the humans under their feet or not. The story centers on a young girl and boy nicknamed Bells and Pockets, who have mysterious links to the Great Old Ones and the Outer Gods. This idea will also use adult versions of Matt, Phyllis, Cholee, Sol, and Jenalyn (classic characters of mine) as the main supporting cast.

First batch:

Tribonian (the quail): Outwardly a California quail, Tribonian is actually a Yithian mind inhabiting the body of a quail. Why it hangs around with Bells and Pockets, sharing its vast Yithian knowledge with them, is, so far, a mystery.

Justinian (AKA "Pockets"): Apparently a 13-year-old boy who is exceedingly--even inhumanly--cheerful. His nickname comes from his apparent fascination with multiple pockets, and the fact that he can semingly pull transdimensional tesseracts from the pockets in his vest. No one knows why this is so (or if they do they're not talking) but it is thought that he may be linked to Yog-Sothoth, an Outer God known for opening doorways between dimensions using "strange geometries"

Rasa Sceadwe (AKA "Bells"): Like Justinian, 10-year-old Rasa is also enigmatic, unlike him she seems to be mostly quiet and subdued. The Great Old One Zushakon is somehow bound to her shadow, and she can control how much of Zushakon's power she draws by ringing the three artifact bells she wears in a specific sequence. She and Justinian are close, with the boy referring to her as his "Psuedo-sis", to which she replies "I'm not your sister" in annoyance.

Second batch:

Tawny Springfield: A 15-year-old member of the scrounger (scavenging and salvage) crew which Bells and Pockets soon encounter and end up going with. Tawny is the "Caster" (a shortened form of spellcaster), a necessary crew member when operating near areas where Lovecraftian horrors are just around the corner. She uses an old, battered English Dee edition (abridged) of the Necronomicon as a spell book. Considering how notoriously bad the transcribing of the Dee edition, the fact that she can cast rather effectively using it is a sign of her potential.

Silas Meadows: Another 15-year-old member of the scrounger crew Tawny belongs to, Silas basically acts as a security guy or scrounge worker. Having met Tawny two years ago when she joined the scrounger crew, he has developed a relationship with her. Although, he can be rather confused or wary regarding her spells, and this has extended to Justinian and Rasa. however, he is generally the most affable member of the scrounge crew. his preferred weapon is an AKSU-74 converted to fire 5.56mm rounds

Jenalyn Dumaloy: The 22-year-old "wrench wench" maintaining the Crapshack (a heavily modified and jury-rigged old bus the scrounger crew uses as its vehicle). She is also the younger sister of Mattias Dumaloy, one of the two owners/bosses of the Crapshack. She tends to drive her older brother up the wall with her somewhat flirty attitude with guys (and even sometimes girls) she meets between scroungings, though. Suffice it so say that Matt is happy her baggy boiler worksuit is not form-fitting, and doesn't display her figure too much.

Third batch:

Mattias Dumaloy: One of the two owners of the Crapshack which run its scrounger crew, the second is his wife, Phyllis. Matt drives the Crapshack and usually handles long term planning for the scrounger crew. This, coupled with the fact that he has a tendency to be a somewhat overprotective big brother to Jenalyn, has led to the rest of the scrounger crew sometimes calling him "Dad." Which is somewhat funny since he isn't even the oldest (at 25).

Phyllis Grant-Dumaloy: 24-year-old Phyllis is Matt's wife. They met soon after the Great Old Ones returned to walk the Earth and decided to marry themselves several years after. Where Matt is the "Dad", Phyllis is the "Mom." She basically runs the scrounger operations out in the field and deals with the tactical while Matt deals with the strategic. She is a natural leader, calm and collected. Imporatant when out working in a dangerous Lovecraftianized post-apocalyptic world. Her preferred weapon is an MP-5K.

Cholée Leuric: A Quebecois from the former Canadian province of Quebec, 25-year-old Cholée is the team's marksman and crack shot. Her skills are very useful for protection out during scrounge missions or when dealing with some rather unscroupulous people in the populated areas. She does have a tendency to be somewhat hotheaded, which Solomon Mackall readily exploits by pissing her off with his obnoxious actions. Her preferred weapon is an old M16A1.

Last batch:

Solomon Mackall: At 27, Sol is the oldest member of the Crapshack scrounge crew. Also being the physically largest, he serves as the "muscle" of the group. Despite his age and size, however, he is content on being the obnoxious jokester of the group, letting Matt and Phyllis take the leadership roles. A particular target of his joking around is Cholée, who gets absolutely infuriated with him sometimes. However, when needed, he can turn very serious very quickly. His weapon of choice is a Mossberg ATPS 500 12-gauge shotgun.

Siegfried Traumer (AKA "Sieg"): Sieg is basically the surrogate parent of Justinian and Rasa, having raised the former since his enigmatic birth and the latter since they came across herfive years ago. Not much is known about him, however, and he never seems to give any straight answers to questions. When asked why he dresses so strangely (weird mishmas of an old German stahlhelm worn backwards, a Civil War era US corporal's coat, and modern camo-pattern pants and boots) he merely replies that "The old pharaoh costume was getting old." Most of the other Crapshackers are wary of him and think that there is more to him than meets the eye.
