Was out barcraft ing most of the weekend (instead of playing DIII! taking it slowly at the moment, sort of . . .), but I had my sketchbook with me and felt the need to do some drawing!I've been slack lately a bit (certainly because of DIII, among other things) and it felt really good to do some drawing with pencil again, been ages since I've done anything even semi-polished.
Diablo! Sort of, anyway; not quite dramatic enough with the proportions and horns, maybe some sort of lesser demon? Ha! That style of thing, either away.
btw, this is NOT official stuff, I was just inspired by the awesomeness

Whoa, really cool stuff! I don't know how you did it, but somehowΒ you indicated the light reflecting in his scales... That really works! You get this beautiful contrast between dark and light, it looks amazing.

I've been playing Diablo 2 and dying and reviving more times than Jesus in the Zombie Apocalypse.
Love the shading, you have such skill with pencil work. The head area and the spikes on the arms are awesome as fuck.

You know, when I first saw the earliest designs of the new Diablo, I actually thought you were the one you designed him because it did strike me as something from your style or design. Were you in any way directly or even indirectly involved with Diablo's most recent design?

I'm not part of the Diablo playerbase, though I think this looks pretty awesome. Still quite dramatic for a pencil sketch. I imagine this could make for a really neat wallpaper. (:
