Description Ashley Wood's Popbot.

Yup, entirely scratchbuilt . . . I saw that you could get a statue of him, and thought... damn, that'd be cool.
And since he's pretty simple, really, form-wise, I thought . . . Aha! I've some free time...
And there you go. I need to find some tubing for his chest, and then paint it, so it could be a while till completed, but hey.
It's pretty poseable, with . . . 11(?) points of articulation . . . or thereabouts. Well, shoulders, elbows, spine, hips, knees and ankles.

A lot of fun.

Leftover tank model kit pieces for the round bits, the back end of a ball-point gel-pen for his head, some left-over 'joint' pieces from some Gundam model kits, tubing's just insulation-y stuff from an electronics store and the rest of it is varying weights of plasticard from a hobby shop.

Wow, such an eclectic choice of parts! And I thought you made those parts yourself... and because they are so eclectic, you planned to use them ahead? Compliment on your resourcefulness too.

Oh no, none of it was really planned... I probably wouldn't have thought to buy a tank just for the wheels, I managed to have them lying around to begin with (if I hadn't I probably wouldn't've even started, since cutting circles from plasticard's not all that fun). The only stuff I bought specifically for it was another sheet of thicker plasticard and the tubing.

He's still sitting on my shelf waiting patiently to be painted...
