In true George Lucas style, I just can't seem to help going back to earlier work I've completed and trying to change it. The original picture of Optimus Prime that I've altered here is something I originally drew nearly 10 years ago. I'd read a book about how to draw comics the Marvel way and a specific section on how to draw in perspective using vanishing points. The resultant picture of Prime (using my ruler!) was perspectively correct, but very crude and blocky. I think in my early days of using Photoshop I didn't really care if the line art was bit crap, I just really enjoyed the colouring in part. I always had a soft spot for that picture, and going back to alter it initially felt a bit like sacrilege, but I'm pleased I did now.
