She was caught in the middle of a rather explosive fire fight.
Carlo and Hank were having a mexican standoff, as it was known there was a murderer on board, and Hank (being high strung but educated) suspected the gangster.
Reginald thought it best to assist with those in authority and lowered one of his two 12 gauge double barrlled shot guns at Carlo.
Reggie was attacked by Seb (carlos Bodyguard) and despite being double his age, got the drop on him and blew his jaw off. The distraction allowed Hank to fire at Carlo (he missed) and then Carlo to fire at Hank (he missed, but hit the Captain) Reginald then crit-shot Carlo at point blank range. Now, Carlo had been planning to blow a safe aboard the ship and was carrying some dynamite, which Reggies shot detonated. Scattering Carlo in all directions.
Again, despite his advanced years, Reginald managed to roll a critical dodge roll, resulting in him deftly riding the explosive force to safety, while keeping his hat on.
Claire also managed to dodge, but the whole scene was a little much for her sensabilities.
