I love Rampage. The arcade one, mostly. I love its simplicity. I love its humour. It’s not my favourite game, but it’s the answer I give if someone asks me the baffling question as to which game is my favourite.
Years ago, back when I first took too many blows to the head and thought I could make comics, I envisioned one about Lizzie, now middle aged, hounded and homeless, trying to juggle her frustrations with the world and find her place in it. Maybe even use her ability to turn into a kaiju for good.
Basically it was going to be something between Godzilla, the incredible hulk and falling down.
Lizzie is MY first woman of gaming.
I love Rampage so much that I will actually see the film even though it is from the perspective of the people the monsters are attacking, not the monsters themselves. So yay.
If at the end of the film, the monsters are captured and they turn back into people then that would be awesome, but somehow I don’t see that happening.

Ahh rampage, I played world tour and it was a fun cathartic destructive ride, but I loved finding the little extras that was always the best

as I understand it the film has it so the monsters are actually just normal animals hit with alien mutagents or something and grown super huge. How the hell a wolf, a crocodile, and a gorilla were all in the same general impact zone is beyond me. But yeah, they dropped the angle of them being people transformed into rampaging monsters, so that they could shoot more bullets at them without the moral quandary.
