Description
Zwartekraai was curious about the heights of the Ragged Edges characters, so he could better imagine how they relate to eachother.I slapped together this junk in an attempt to offer the basic range of heights. I can offer other people's heights upon request for the curious.
From left to right: Boone, Branz, Nada,Raege,Myers,Magpie,Yaroslava,Redding, Cuddles
Magpie is a character by: akandofharakon.deviantart.com/ from his Ragged Edges fanfic, most of which is so on the money it may as well be canon.
You may notice that Cuddles looks bigger here than usual. Truthfully, as a biomancer she is often shortening herself to make it easier to move around the ship and talk to people. This is merely the height she defaults to if she relaxes.
I am quite sure that, if measured this chart and its numbers are messed up.

Boone 5 feet 3 inches tall + Raege 6 feet 1 inch tall = size difference couple for the win.

3.3 foot to a meter, roughly. You can also google "x foot in meters" to get the exact number, since the googs is helpful that way (they also do currency conversion).

yes but why even use an obsolete measuring system?
The metric system is in use to measure everything but money and that is coming too believe me.

It's not obsolete when nations around the world still use it. Metric might be better, but the inertia inherent to a people or nation's collective unconscious (and educational systems) can be one hell of a force.
Besides, I hear the new measuring system for money is coming in units of McDucks, which is the amount of money you could squeeze into a twelve-story tall skyscraper (or 3 cubic acres worth of space).

1) nation, USA is the only real nation that don't use the metric system, the only other two are Eritrere (a big dirthole in Africa) and Myanmar (previously known as Burma where you can't even fart at the wrong person without being shot).
2) what I meant about a metric standard for money is simple. That we invent two new international currencies, that I like to call "Lunar" and "Solar", that are 100% backed by silver and gold respectably, with coins in general circulation and bills redeemable for everyone. where 1 gram of gold is 1 solar, and 1 gram of silver is 1 lunar. The final leg in the system is a general recognition of fractional reserve banking as a pyramid scheme and ban it.
With today's prices 1 lunar would be worth 60 cents and 1 solar 41,25 dollar.

Fair point, although a number of nations still have the imperial system lingering in everyday use or for special purposes.
As for fixing money standards internationally, I think I'll stick to the units McDuck as being more realistic.

that one didn't even make sense, but I was actually being serious.
We need to return to the gold standard, as the time of the fiat ponzi scheme is very close to its inevitable end.
It is a ponzi scheme because it is currencies that are created as debt that need to expand exponentially forever in order not to collapse in on itself,
and the part with the fractional reserve banking makes it a pyramid scheme as well.
And it is a global scheme of almost unimaginable scope.
At the top we have the central banks of central banks, like the International Monetary Fond (IMF), Bank of International Settlement BIS, and the world bank.
At the second level we have the large privately owned central banks. The Federal Reserve, Bank of England, European Central Bank, Bank of Japan and the Peoples bank of China.
Below that we have the large investment banks; Bank of Nova Scotia, Wells Fargo, Lehman Brothers, City Group and Deutsche bank, just to mention a few.
Understand that all of them are EVIL and exist for one purpose and one purpose only, to leach on all the hard-working people on Earth and steal the fruits of our labour.
And understand that they are all going to die within a decade.

If you didn't get the reference, then google Scrooge McDuck and his money bin. I was not being particularly serious in my responses, since the whole discussion is above and beyond what I get up to in comment sections like these, intended as they are for discussing art and not problems of world economy. Sorry if my facetiousness was taken as genuine interest in the topic.

I was not being sarcastic when I said "I like that".
Its an example of how human populations have become more diverse as they spread across the galaxy. Its not as dramatic as some other examples (well on paper anyway, in person it would have much more impact) but its still interesting.

I can definitely see how you would draw that comparison but no, he's not supposed to look like James Vega.
Magpie's faux-hawk isn't so much a hardcore styled faux-hawk but rather the product of Magpie habitually running a hand through it to the point that's the shape it just kind of maintains... plus Magpie can't grow facial hair for shit.

Wow, I like this, though its interesting to discover that I'm shorter than 90% of the team and one of Cuddle's legs
I like the cannon of Cuddles being so super tall, but it does kinda throw off a lot of the drawings you've had her in.Β I can definately write most of her being in the same frame as others as her crouching to be somewhere close to whoever she's interacting with (in many of the images where I see her on the same plane as someone else we don't see her legs) but even so, putting her in shot with Raege seems to shrink her a solid foot a lot of the time....I have to imagine that she spends most of her time crouching when not outside...few cielings are that big and I doubt any doorways that aren't super ornate portals (common in the imperium but still) can accomidate her without bending tremendously.
Still, I like it, just saying....you've made her SUPER huge.
This does also make imagining these characters easier...where does Zune fit again?

She crouches and artificially shortens herself much of the time (biomancy allows a certain amount of body control) her room is an old storage room so it allows her to stretch out a little more. But yeah, in the comics when you see her talking to boon she's genrally cranked herself back to 7' something.
Zune is 5'6" , Raege is leaning forward with menace here: mr-culexus.deviantart.com/art/β¦
Outside of the battlefield or her room, CUddles is generally smaller than shown here, this is just her default. Life is hard, i guess!
