Description This episode is brought to you by

Despite the fact that she was growing larger, Angela was surprised to feel her clothes getting looser. Her sleeves hung low around her widening arms. Her feet got a chance to breathe once again as her boots turned to sandals. Her ever-tightening belt began to expand, working its way up as it took the shape of an armored breastplate. There was a sudden rush of cool air across Angela's legs. Her stockings, which she feared had finally given way to her calves and thighs, had become a long dress.

It was a relief to be out of the constricting clothing, even if the metallic accessories left Angela a little confused. "Ahhhh..." is what she meant to say, but it came out as a Major scale ending in a prolonged High C. Angela daintily placed a chubby hand over her mouth in surprise. She didn't know she had such a voice, and yet she knew she had a purpose. Music was playing in the back of her mind, and she felt that any moment her cue was coming. And when it did, she would...

(1.) ...end the song.

(2.) ...end everything.

... 'End everything?' You DO mean like playing the tragic soprano, like Marguerite during the finale of 'Faust...' Right? O^O'

Well, I knew where ths was going, I wasn't expecting option two though. XD It's still really cute. Like the details on the skirt, looks nice.
Both should be pretty fun though.

I was going to end it on this step, but the possibility of option 2 was just too good.

I'm giddy to see what you have planned for that.
Though knowing you if there's an epilogue it'll end on a funny/not sad note.

Oh crap, I can see where #2 is going.

Still, this is pretty cool. Managed to nail down typical attire of an opera singer.

Well, only for an actress playing a character from 'Der Ring des Nibelungen.' Opera is just as varied as any other form of theater, though having a larger body DOES give your voice more support, especially if you're a guy singing a very low bass role or a woman singing a very high soprano role.

Rianq In reply to Renee-Niels [2013-10-25 10:08:15 +0000 UTC]

Do you know of any studies that support this? I mean, yeah, I've heard of theories why big body types might improve opera singing, but no substantial evidence. I also wonder if a large body type won't lead to a tendency for short-breathedness.

Hehe~ ^^ ... Honestly, I only got into opera because my little cousin played an adorable, glorified stagehand in a production of Faust. :3

I've heard of that play before. Rather interesting to have your cousin working in a show like that.Β

Okay, I can picture it now. Thanks. While I haven't really seen many operas, I'm familiar with a few different productions like Faust.

Renee-Niels In reply to ClockwerkSoul [2013-10-24 13:36:51 +0000 UTC]

Myself, I've seen four shows: Faust, obviously, Les Contes d'Hoffman, Don Giovanni and The Magic Flute.

ClockwerkSoul In reply to Renee-Niels [2013-10-24 13:38:41 +0000 UTC]

I wouldn't mind seeing a production of Der Freishutz, as well as Faust or Don Giovanni.

I've actually seen Don Giovanni twice: once with my father and a friend, and again with my mother and another friend. XD
