The pulling stopped, and an eeire calm settled over the archives. Two identical witches silently gazed into each other's eyes. It was, contrary to the old saying, quite unlike looking into a mirror. Angela could look at Angela and see her proper form instead of a reflection. She could move independently of her other. She could feel her trembling hands and the warmth of her face. Most importantly, they could sense their place in the world. There was no sense of competition or hierarchy, no need to claim a role as the original. Where there was one, now there were two, split down the middle. Simple as that.

"I guess the spell's done," Angela said, feeling a sense of stability.

"We should probably tell everyone what happened," Angela replied.

"Let's wait a bit, just to be safe. I want to make sure we don't divide again."

"Not until math class, at least."

The Angelas giggled at their own joke for a bit, then planned their next move.
