This story (Several more pics to follow) follows up on my entry for 's Power Quest contest, and explains why Argo and White Owl were not immediately available to help Curia or Ultra Woman when she was attacked by Chryseis.
It's also my entry for 's Wedding Artjam.

It had been only a few minutes since Argo had driven off a power crazed Amazon Arrow before she could seriously hurt White Owl, and her head was finaly clearing.

"I'm glad you haven't taken off yet. I'd...like to talk to you about something. Something important," she said to him.

He had a suspicion as to what it was she'd want to talk about, and it was not a conversation he was looking forward to.

"The last few times we've been together, it was some major crisis and you'd be gone before I could ask you something. I wanted to invite you to my wedding! You probably heard that I'm marrying Captain Valiant, and I don't exactly know where to send an invitation."

She was positively beaming.

Of course, Argo knew about the wedding. It was on the news. There was also the fact that as Hef Karamikos, his boss Dr. Athena Nikos (White Owl's alter-ego) had told him about her own pending nuptials.

He turned from her, clenching his fist out of her line of sight.

"Actually, that's very kind of you, but I have a mission that day. A very important one."

In a somewhat dejected tone, White Owl responded, "Oh...Oh, I see. I'm sorry. I thought..."

"No. It's not like that. The mission is actually part of my wedding gift for you. I'll be hovering over the church, standing vigil to make sure nothing happens to ruin your wedding."

"Um, Argo? Did you forget that there will be dozens of heroes there? What could possibly ruin it? Wait. You said church. Cap and I are getting married at City Hall, not a church."

There was no going back now.
"I...I mean your other wedding. At the church... Athena."
