Description
I'm taking a quick break from posting drawing of Simone for a minute to introduce one of my oldest characters. This is Tori Basil....Code Name: Athena and she is the Field Commander of all B.E.C.A. agents. She has been a B.E.C.A. agent for many years and has risen through the ranks to very near the top. She's fearless, strong, and is excellent in many different forms of combat. She's referred to as a living legend among her peers and her enemies shudder at the mention of her name. Lately, she hasn't been in actual combat as she's been tending to her obligations as Field Commander, but if the situation arises she will not hesitate to jump into the fray of battle, as that's where she feels most in her element.
From an artists POV I don't think that besides maybe Simone that I've drawn/redesigned a character more than Athena. I think I was in like 6th or 7th grade when I first came up with the idea for her. Yep....looooooooooonnnng time ago as I'll be 27 in 4 months! Yikes! I'm getting old! I've generally always have kept her in a black bodysuit type outfit. (Which for the most part is actually her body) She too, as most of my characters are, is a cyborg. She used to have huge gantlets around her wrist that had retractable cannons on them. She still has razor-sharp claws that she can extract from her fingertips if need be, but Tori's all about finesse and likes to keep it clean as possible.
Tori is Mortal Enemies with Sataria [link] The two women used to be comrades in arms and great friends until Sataria became less sympathetic to defending humanity and more towards cybernetic domination. Sataria disappeared only to resurface as a chief officer of Cybercom, B.E.C.A.'s biggest nemesis. Ever since that day Tori has vowed to bring her former friend and her organization down, while Sataria wants to either turn Tori into one of her top soldiers along with Dira Lane, Feris Wilder, Lasharra Middleton, Suprema Maddrox, and Ariel Bonaparte....or to die by her own hands.
This one is not that old.....maybe 2 or 3 years old? More Athena coming soon!

I really like the "action pose" you gave her, kinda reminds me of the Battle Angel manga.

Thanks! I wasn't necessarily going for the Battle Angel look, but I am a huge fan of Alita.

Thank you! Hey, I can't seem to get anyone else to respond, and being that you respond to my comments, can you PLEASE tell me what to I have to do to shrink an image down to the size that it's supposed to be so that I can give myself an avatar? I've tried tons of stuff like changing the format of the pic to changing the size in MS paint, yet DA says that my image is not the correct size. It's a shame, as I've been a member of DA since Nov of 06, posting since Aug 07, yet still haven't figured out how to do that damn thing!!!

What I did is in photoshop (I don't know which OS you use or what version of PS, but) I did File->save for web...-> and I shrunk the image down to a 50x50 gif (since its animated). Hope this helps.
