Hey everybody...lookie what I got!!!! Achaziel [link] was ever so kind to point me in the direction of a freeware painting program, PhotoFiltre [link] as he read a comment under one of my drawings and saw that all I had was MS Paint, as I'm broke and can't afford Photoshop. I downloaded it yesterday afternoon and I was instantly in love!!! I downloaded a free trial of C3 a few months ago and wasn't that impressed, mainly b/c it was difficult to navigate. With PhotoFiltre, I have the quality and cool tools like C3 with the functionality of Paint. I spent the better part of yesterday evening and night playing with it and starting the coloring process on many of my pics!Of course being that I'm on a huge Simone Rattica kick, it was only right that I played around with one of her pics. Here's a little bit of what I've done; I was planning on yesterday to be the day that I draw a new pic of her for my 100th deviation. But I ended up coloring pics while watching the Jaguars/Steelers game last night and didn't actually get around to start drawing until about 3 am! This is just the beginning.....next stop I get a Wacom tablet when I get some extra cash!
I LOVE how her eyes came out!

Well...just until recently! There are a few pics in her gallery that feature her nude...but I decided that over time with all of the damage that she's taken in battle and such that they eventually replaced the few organic parts of her torso with machinery. The only thing that's left of her that is organic is half of her head and part of her brain.

this pic here gives me a very good idea of the character. I was just wonderiing (I know shes a Borg type char) but her facial features lean toward either American Black of Hispanic, or is she a dark skinned White. I have women of every color, and race in my comic and models I use, so I was wondering which features to use.

Simone is actually mixed...African American, Cauasian, and although she isn't aware of it yet, an alien race called Asanian (they look mixed with black and hispanic). I envision Simone looking similar to Halle Berry...not exactly but Halle's skin tone is spot on with Simone's. So she has a light complexion, with a hint of darkness to her basically.
