Description
I wanted to bring Cyra-1 back
, so here she is locked and loaded! I used a Gen 8 model this time as opposed to a Gen 3 model. I also switched a few things, specifically her eyes and lips. I especially like how the lips came out; it makes her look a bit more human as opposed to the chrome lips. I had to doctor her skin tone using Clip Studio b/c the chrome texture also comes with an extremely pale and washed out face skin tone and I don't know how to change a texture.
The background came out much darker than I wanted, even though I added extra lights to help illuminate the environment behind her. At least her chrome body didn't come out looking completely black due to all of the light bouncing off of her!

Thanks! And yeah...I was initially upset with the dark background, but I agree with the dark background helping her chrome pop much more!
I used to struggle quite a bit with backgrounds when I was primarily a traditional artist; I had the hardest time staying interested trying to draw the details of everything other than the character or characters. I love that it's much easier to insert the background in Daz. HOWEVER, it does kinda suck that you have to buy the backgrounds and once you get them, you have to then implement them in such a way that it complements the characters. And if your laptop/CPU is anything like mine, it struggles rendering some of the more elaborate Iray based scenes.

1. I think I've seen/heard of people using the layers method. So, do you set up the entire scene and hide certain things with each render, then paste them in as layers in PS or is there another way that you did it?
2. I've been using a lot of older pre Iray backgrounds lately myself and they have been coming through in the clutch. Ever since the update to 4.12, I've been getting Memory Allocation Errors and Daz crashing while rendering on the more elaborate scenes, more than one character, and such...no one seems to have a fix for it. So I've had no choice but to use the older backgrounds or a very basic backdrop and one character.

1. Yes, thats exactly how I do it.
2. This is a Daz issue for sure. I now only download simple backgrounds where you can build it in components, rather than load the whole scene.

An excellent work as always,
and a splendid cyborg as ever.
I'm very happy by your return of Gen 8 modeling and of Cyra-1.
I'm fascinated by herself.
However, the eyes aren't the same than the previous illustrations. I loved them.
There are the option for return them to your beautiful cyborg? please
Happy Holidays!!

Thanks...glad you enjoy Cyra-1! And Happy Holidays to you as well!
And yeah...I did change her eyes. I wanted to go for something that's a little more "human", if that makes sense. I'm still kinda playing around with her eyes a bit, so I may change them again.
