Description Here's the colored version of

For those of you that don't know or just aren't familiar with these two...the BBW cutie pie to the left is Dr. Jetta Chambers aka Techna and the cyborg to the right is Simone Rattica aka Project: Genesis (or just Genesis for short). Both women are members of the Angel Falls Police Dept.: Special Crimes Unit, in which they along with other officers are in charge of regulating metahuman and supernatural criminal threats that regular police officers and the S.W.A.T. team aren't able to handle. In short, they're police superheroines. It looks like Genesis had a particularly rough mission or either she's receiving a major upgrade, as Techna is in the midst of performing some rather extensive repairs and maintenance!

Finally, I finished this puppy! This one took me forever to go ahead and finish...I've been working on it for about a week and a half now. Between work, RL, girlfriend, and everything else in between it's been a struggle to stay focused on this one...but I hunkered down and decided to go all in when I got up this morning to get this one out of the way.

I'll be honest, I got a little impatient and felt that I rushed some of the coloring...especially with the highlights and the detail of all of the mechanical components and wires. I just wanted to get this one finished so that I can move on to other projects. However, I love how Jetta came out...I wanted for her to be really pretty, as beautiful plus-sized women often don't get enough credit for their beauty. I also changed the color of her bodysuit, as it would've been entirely too much gray...the blue is more vibrant and suits her better. I like how Simone came out as well, however I think that if my coloring skills were better, I could've really made her pop!

Don't worry...Simone will be reassembled and back on the beat in no time with the technological wiz Techna on the job!

Seeing that, for the time being, this is a fictional scenario, how much punishment do you think a REAL cyborg could take ? I mean we've all seen RobCop 2 where RoboCop / Murphy winds up being dismantled & tossed out of a car in pieces, & the Terminator movies where Arnold & the antagonist Terminator he's fighting kick the biomechanical stuffing out of each other. How much of a licking can these girls take & keep on ticking ? I realize it's an old cliche & a bad pun, but still.....

& Discovery Science Chanel had a great episode of the series SciFi Science with Dr. Michio Kaku where HE talked about building cyborgs & a possible cyborg army. You would've loved it, man !!

As always, great work !

Hmm...well, that would depend on how well built the cyborg is I guess. I don't know if you could really gauge something like that realistically being that battle/action cyborgs don't really exist. But, I would imagine that they would at least be bulletproof and probably could take extreme impacts...like they could probably survive being hit by a speeding car yet still be damaged. As for my cybergirls...as you see, I put them through the proverbial ringer and push them to their limits! They're battle tested and proven that they don't break easy at all!

And that would be too cool to see a cyborg army...that is, unless said army has been programmed to take me out!

Thanks bud!

I hope those girls are insured !
This is only theoretical / hypothetical, but maybe the military would consider bionic or otherwise augmented troops someday, maybe some kind of elite " Navy SEALS " type - unit, or civil police departments would consider the same. & of course, submitting to such augmentation w / have to be voluntary.

Anybody can tell that you've put LOTS of thought into this.

All of my girls have a limited factory warranty just in case any serious malfunctions occur!

As for the real bionic/cybernetic soldiers...I would imagine that something like that would be kept hush-hush with the moral implications that it involves. As you said, with something like that it would have to be voluntary and I can't see too many SANE participants lining up to be turned into a cyborg soldier. I would imagine that if they were going to do something along those lines that they would already be in development of some sort of secret experimentation on people...maybe on humans that no one notices like convicts on death row/life sentence, the homeless, or even the deceased a la Universal Soldier. And then I'm sure that religious folks would have a fit saying that something like this would be 'playing God'.

And thanks...it did take what felt like forever to finish this one!

Yeah. You've gotta wonder how you'd cover serious damage to a cyborg in an insurance policy. Wow.

If a real program like this were undertaken, it would be kinda kept under lock & key, at 1st. Only a person with serious injuries would even consider something like being made over into a cyborg, & then someone - perhaps - with defense skills or military / intel capabilities. They wouldn't just do modifications on a post - man, meter - maid, or insurance - adjuster.

There was a zombie movie where they took dead people & did bionic modifications on them, then reanimated them, a la " Frankenstein ". I forget what the title was. It didn't really seem very original to me, more like AMC's " The Walking Dead " meet " The Terminator ", only on the SyFy ( I hate that " new " name & Logo !! ) Channel.
I enjoy your work, man. Keep it up !

I'm not exactly sure which movie that you may be talking about, but I'm reminded of the Universal Soldier movies on that subject...although they weren't cyborgs per se, they were still dead soldiers that were reanimated and enhanced. I borrowed a few ideas from those movies for my character Wraith.

There was also Return of the Living Dead, where a company had a chemical that turned dead people to zombies and there was a homeless guy that was helping the main characters that was killed by the main female character, who herself was reanimated as a zombie and couldn't control her cravings for brains. The company reanimated the guy and turned him into some kind of mechanical zombie thing that was powered with a "meat battery", and he ended up turning against his creators in the end to help the main characters. Freaky, ain't it?

Thanks again for the props!

I never looked at the title & unless the title just POPS with me, Chances are good I ain't gonna remember it 15 minutes later.

I read a boffo discussion once making comparisons between the Borg, zombies & vampires on - line. Further proof that sometimes I have WAY TOO MUCH time on my hands ! ( Because Borg assimilate their victims using nanites & / or direct implantion of biomech components, natcherly, & the tubules they sometimes use are like vampire fangs. ) The " zombie " element would be because of their corpse pale appearance, & their relentless single - minded press to assimilate other beings, & supress their individuality. I HOPE that there won't actually be creatures like them out there if we seriously explore interstellar space.

Return of the Living Dead - Truly whacked stuff, indeed !

My pleasure !!

You know Techna is good because when she is all done she doesn't have any screws or parts left over.

Kudos to all those great details.

Techna "Oh bring it on, you pompous blond airbag!!! You're all talk...you haven't gone up against one of my cyborgs yet!

When I first got here to Angel Falls, I saw what you did to Detective Cyborg...It's because of you that I can't seem to fully repair her neural net to get her back online to full functionability! I promised Lt. Hunter that I would do my best to equip her and the rest of the AFPD: Special Crimes Unit officers with the technology and firepower to effectively take on the likes of someone like you!"

Genesis "I am also not at all intimidated by the likes of you Ultrawoman. Just know that you are at the top of the Special Crimes Unit's most wanted list, and I along with my fellow Cybercops will apprehend you and bring you to justice. I reassure you...I am not Alexis Murphy. I dare you to break this toy and leave me in pieces as you did with Detective Cyborg. I eagerly await the day that you and I engage each other in combat...I will show you just what I'm made of."

DUDE!! I can see all the effort you put into this piece. I love all the little details like the cords and the buttons on Simone's chassis. I can understand just why you wanted to hurry up & finish this; the background seemed to have taken forever and a day to color!! Anyway, you did some good work here!

Mr-Marcus-81 In reply to JonKin [2011-02-23 17:09:36 +0000 UTC]

Thanks Johnny! Yeah, I had focus issues with this one...I think I psyched myself out with the amount of the little details that I had to color such as the wires and all of the little bits of machinery in all of Simone's open panels and such, but I just had to battle through the laziness.

And actually, the background was probably the easiest thing to do. All I did was dropped down to the very bottom layer (the original lines/background) and added a lighting effect! No fuss...no muss!

I think you did an excellent job with the whole scene, though I definitely understand feeling the need to just rush through the end of a pic to get it done. It can be hard to force yourself to take your time and work on something when you feel like you already spent too long on it, but you did a beautiful job with these ladies, especially with all the effort you put into the details.

Thanks bud! Yeah, I just think I psyched myself out with knowing that I had to give special attention to each little wire and all of the mechanical components on Simone's body...I was just unfocused and lazy. But I'm glad that I was able to push through and go ahead and finish this one! I'm glad that you enjoy all of the details and such!

VERY BRILLIANT WORK!! Hopefully Techna would reprogram her too much

General Bardak: *arrives in full armor* "You must be Dr. Jetta Chambers and your cyborg companion must be Genesis. Its nice to meet you both, I'm General Alvaro Bardak, General of the United Republic of Earth."

Mr-Marcus-81 In reply to atomskmaster6 [2011-02-24 01:26:05 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! And don't worry...Techna has been doing her best to help Genesis reconnect with her human emotions so that she won't be so cold and machine-like.

Jetta: *startled* "OMG...Gee whiz dude...you scared the crap outta me! How the hell did you get in here past security?!!? I'm sorry...you just spooked me a little; I get so caught up in my work sometimes that I zoned out and wasn't even paying attention to anything else.

*putting her tools down and extends her hand* Hi General...I've heard so much about you since I've moved here to Angel Falls a few months ago; it's nice to actually meet you in person! And please...no need for the Doctor. I know I am a doctor and all, but it makes me sound old! You can call me Techna, or Jetta, or Jet.

Genesis: "Greetings and salutations General Bardak...I would shake your hand and exchange pleasantries with you, however I am in the midst of receiving repairs and as you can see, my appendages aren't currently attached to my body. But it is an honor to finally meet a warrior of your caliber...your reputation proceeds you."

Your Welcome!! Sorry about that; I meant I hope Techna won't re-program her too much so Genesis wouldn't be saying things like "Yes, Mistress Techna"

General Bardak: *shakes Techna's hand* Very Well, Techna!! *gets out his BTR and scans Genesis* Looks like Genesis needs a little more work then you think!! Would you care for my assistance in upgrading Genesis?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mr-Marcus-81 In reply to atomskmaster6 [2011-02-25 20:53:04 +0000 UTC]

Techna wouldn't dare completely delete someone's natural personality in exchange for programming. She's a firm believer in that regardless how much of a cyborg a person is, as long as they have any bit of their original organic brains left that they're still human underneath all of the machinery.
------------------------------------

Techna: "No offense to you or that snazzy gadget there General, but I'm fully aware of everything that needs to be repaired and upgraded with Simone's systems. It might take me a while to get to it, but I'm within my element. Besides...you don't have clearance to be down here messing with AFPD property.

*sternly* Not to mention I'm like a gourmet chef...while I'm cooking, I like to be the only one in the kitchen. Hint hint..."

Genesis: "Jetta, that was rather impolite of you!

Techna: "Well, excuse me Miss Manners...he started it! Little more work than I think?!!? I know what the hell I'm doing!

Genesis: "Pardon her forwardness General, but she does make a valid case by stating that you are not AFPD personnel and therefore not authorized to assist in my repairs and upgrades.

And I believe you have slightly offended her by assuming that she is not fully aware of what my body needs in the way of upgrading. I can vouch that Techna is a master at her craft, does the proper planning and preparations, and always reassembles me along with the other cyborg that she works on to optimal performance with very little or no margin of error at all. Her uncanny metahuman abilities make her one of the most renowned technicians in all of the world."

Techna: "Yeah...what she said! Now, if you told me what's the haps on that cool out-of-this-world technology that you've got, then maybe we can talk!"
