A while back, someone I've been unable to identify released this theme enabling the battery percentage in the iPhone status bar to appear in the Neutraface font. I've merely renamed the files to be compatible with Winterboard on iOS 5.To install: extract the theme folder and upload to /private/var/stash/Themes.xxxxxx/, apply theme in Winterboard.
You may also copy the images in the file to the UIImages folder in the theme of your choice.
This package is not necessary for iOS 6. Battery percentage is font rendered in the new update.

iOS 6 renders battery percentage with a system font rather than sprites, so BytaFont is required to alter the appearance rather than a Winterboard theme.

when the pwer gets to 40% the '0' looks a little cut off...

Due to the differences in screen resolution, pretty much any theme element will not be compatible between iPhones and iPads.

As you might have noticed looking at the files in this theme, the percentage display is purely graphical. It cannot be changed with Bytafont, only by replacing/theming the images in iOS.

I added this .theme to the Themes folder, and also installed Hide Battery on Status Bar from the repo you mentioned above, but its not working for some reason

As the description says, I'm not the original creator of this work... but you could make it yourself with a little grunt work. It's a simple matter of typing all the numbers out a couple times in an imaging program, then cropping all the individual numbers into their own files. You could use this deviation as a template for the needed filenames.
