I have had a long kept secret for a long time, and I fear it’s time to come clean. I have been very not depressed lately. My life has totally turned out like it should have. It’s become so prevalent; affecting my mood and relationships…all I ever do is bring joy to the ones I love!
I can stand it!
That is why…I’ve been planning hardcore suicide. See, most people try to end their lives in one fell swoop. Pssh, that’s the easy way out. Not the hardcore way out.
So what’s MY plan?
I will grow so old, I will make my heart give out.
THAT’S HARDCORE COMMITMENT.
DON’T TRY TO STOP MY FOOLPROOF PLAN!! This’ll show my supportive parents that they always loved me! So I need to say my goodbyes, close down my art site, which will probably take about fifty years. Oh time, must you slip thru our hands like sand?!

Hah! I’d totally love to see someone try to talk me out of it. “Jason don’t kill yourself by aging!! You’re only prolonging your suffering!!” Thanks? I tell ya, I’m super happy with myself, my art talent, a lot of things.

I do have a real photo somewhere in my scraps, simply to prove I draw myself fairly accurate and am, in fact, a guy. I tell you what, most of the people you meet online have probably met Chris Hansen at this point. You’re telling me 18/f busty beauty who’s a Swedish bikini model was really a club bouncer named Jeffery?! Now that I think about our chats… “You sexy man, Jason! Smack my hairy butt! Oh, uh…my hairy butt…that I shave. Because I’m totally a girl and we do stuff like that, yeah!”
Sometimes I should probably rate my descriptions as mature…

I have come to the conclusion that I am incapable of pulling off a decent photo. I looked at a photo I was recently in and thought to myself, “Wow, was I having a stroke?”

I think we’ve all done this: practiced in front of the bathroom mirror for the perfect pose. Once you nail the girls-will-fight-the-urge-to-make-out-with-the-photo gaze, you try to recapture the magic. And every time, it comes out looking like you’re about to sneeze.
Or have a lazy eye.
Or a zombie.
A zombie with a lazy eye.

I put some of the blame on the three-flash cameras. You’ll usually find these Benedict Arnolds at family reunions. You smile, you see the flash, you let your guard down…
NO!
You see another flash, you frantically try to get back into position…too late. You now have a picture of you looking constipated next to your cousins. “Gee Jason, you don’t look like you were having any fun.” No, I hate my aunt’s choice of digital cameras.

About the art. It’s been ages since I’ve used colored pencils…it feels like a glove! I had my prodigy Cyclopz [link] plot out the shadows for this one. Normally you have this idea of shadows in your drawing, and it’s interesting to see how another person figures where they think they’d go. I wouldn’t have thought to put so many shadows in certain areas…I like the end result. It’s great to see that I can add realistic shadows and not ruin the cartoon. I’m so proud of myself…for using somebody else’s labor! Good job!
