Description This is taken at the Lower Spiral Tunnel looking out the engineers back door.
You can see us coming out the lower portal of the tunnel then look above and you can see the remainder of our train above us still.

THAT is AWESOME. Must have been really weird seeing the other end of your train like that!

Haha, the first time you go down the tunnels, yes its weird seeing your own train but after numerous trips you get more used to it.
Still makes me amazed sometimes that the tail end car that is 6000+ feet back (on the rail) is 75 feet above or below you and like 20 feet behind.

It's weird! I remember being in the cab of a CSX C40-8W (cabride). We were in the intermodal loop and we could see the end of our train all the way on the other side of the loop. So cool

Thats pretty crazy! The longest trains I run are 12 85-foot passenger cars at the most. I wish I could do something like this!

Yeah, Sometimes I wish I could run passenger trains instead of 20,000+ ton trains down a 2.2 to 2.4% grade, too many things can go wrong there, but then again there's not many jobs out there where you get scenery like this and get shots like this .
