So for those of you haven't seen or heard of the show yet, this is based on a new show from Disney Channel titled "Star Vs The Forces of Evil"ΒI recently watched the first two episodes and thought it was decent, it didn't totally blow me away like Gravity Falls necessarily, but I will admit I like the concept of the show, it's basically like an an American version of the typical "magical girl anime"Β
But yeah the main reason this idea for a drawing was because of how similar I found the chemistry between Star and Marco to be oddly similar to Candy and Leon, not that I was the first person to write two teenage characters of opposite genders, where the female is a somewhat hyper active overly positive "girly" character, and the other is a somewhat reserved plays it safe kind of guy. Plus the two pairs of characters are best friends, but as the show progresses there may be more subtle hints at a romantic connection between the two.
Well I'm getting off topic here, my point is that this crossover fits so well, that I just HAD to do it.
Also on a side note I felt it fitting to have drawn this on Friday, because I've sort have had this idea in the back of my mind of doing this thing called "Fanart Friday" which basically means I would make random fanart of something I like and just save it for the best day of the week being Friday, even though probably by the time you all see this it will be Saturday already.

I've done that whole "overly positive 'girly character" and "somewhat reserved plays it safe kind of guy" stuff more than once... but sometimes it's the guy who's all positiveΒ

Lol, also this is the way I view myself with many friendships I've had in the past. For some reason it's happened twice now where I make friends with a girl who happens to be that super happy positive one, and I tend to be the super shy, quiet, loner guy.
That was really the inspiration between Leon and Candy, and the reason why he's forever in the friend zone. XD
But yeah I just sort of saw a lot of myself in Carlo the character from the show, and of course Candy looks adorable in Str's outfit, they even both wear striped socks!!

I never went on the Disney channel since last year but that was by accident.

Oh yeah, I don't blame you! I really only considered watching the show because I'm a HUGE fan of Gravity Falls, which is undoubtably the best Disney Channel show in years!
As is , it's cute, and kind of funny, I will be honest it probably won't be anything as popular as say Adventure Time for example, but as is it's far from being the worst show on Disney Channel.Β

Hm. I might try to see one episode. I never watched Gravity Falls in a long time but it actually has a good plotline, flawed characters and made me laugh...which is weird for Disney

Yeah I know, Gravity Falls is really good, and has sort of set a new standard as being the first good show on Disney Channel in a long time.
But luckily there is only one episode for Star vs the Forces of Evil, but I think it's the kind of show you'll either love or hate. XD

Yeah I think so, because while the concept is interesting, I found some of the jokes to be hit or miss, so it really just depends on your taste.
Like if you're the kind of person who doesn't mind shows with a leading female protagonist, then you might like this one.Β
Otherwise it's hard to say for sure. I'm still not entirely sure if I'm a fan of the show yet, I'll wait until more episodes come out to give better judgement.

Gravity falls and steven universe are very great shows, love them a-lot!
the show looks alright, kind of reminds me wander over wonder in a way, but i guess i am into shows that have shown more characters and plot like gravity falls withΒ
with the mysteries, and the humor of it, and the two lovable twins and their adventures!
and steven universe
is shown to be an actually interesting show with the crystal gems and steven training to become a crystal gem himself along with friends and his dad too.
these shows kind of show a slice of life to it all though in alotta of ways
is just a spark of the shows that catch a person's eye 
i must sound pretty lame now because when both shows were showing pilots and preveiws
i was actually doubting a little bit and i suck for that part, but, they have great entertainment and great spunk to other well made cartoon shows on different channels as well!
what makes the shows interesting andΒ captivating is honestly one of the greatest shows to be made. with great creativity combined too c:

Yes I agree 100%, it's hard for me to give Star Vs a full review mainly because there's only the pilot episode to go off of, but as is I think it's good, not great, but good, it has HUGE potential though, I think it all just depends on how serious the show wants to take it self, on one hand it can be like Steven Universe where it seems silly at first, but slowly overtime develops it's characters over time, or it can kind of go the Wander over Yonder way and just be fun, nonsensical adventures.
I guess for now we'll just have to wait and see, but majority of the time shows get WAY better after their first episode.

i hope we might be able to get more concept of maybe different characters along the way, with the show slowly starting right now, but shows usually develops from inspiration of others or something else. so i am actually now excited to give the series that will be with Star Vs
i do wish we had some old shows back some time but our generation is still good/outstanding with some cartoons though
